The Great Lego Spill: On 13 February 1997 a huge wave hit the container ship Tokio Express about 20 miles off Land's End, and 62 containers went overboard. One of them held 4,756,940 Lego pieces, many of them sea-themed: dragons, octopuses, life rings, flippers and spear guns. About half of them float, and beachcombers in Cornwall still find them today.
This is a drift simulation of the floating half over five years, from 1997 to 2002, with the real daily currents and winds.

On Sunday evening, the TUI Cruises cruise ship *Mein Schiff 3* collided with a container ship belonging to the shipping company MSC. According to the *Nordsee-Zeitung*, the hull of the cargo ship sustained damage in the collision. youtube.com/shorts/hP4LM2sqc…

The USNavy now has two carriers ready to run its MQ-25 Stingray tanker drone! USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) just joined USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) with its own Unmanned Air Warfare Center, the control hub that lets the ship's crew command drones. The Stingray is meant to take over aerial refueling from Super Hornets, which have reportedly spent 20 to 30 percent of their carrier flights just tanking other jets! The first production MQ-25 flew in April, and the Navy plans to buy 76. Not flashy, but it might be the most useful drone in the Navy.

A painful read. In my view quantity is a quality in its own right. Furthermore, as people still make the difference, I am sceptical the Hybrid Navy plan will deliver what is needed..

The target vessel was the decommissioned frigate, HS Bouboulina F463, the ex Kortenaer class frigate HNLMS Pieter Florisz of @kon_marine.
The frigate was shot multiple times at the front and central areas of the superstructure by spike missiles while the final blow was landed by a SUT torpedo launched from the T214 sub.
