So I was informed yesterday that I will not be offered a contract from YES for next season! I am very grateful for my 20 years at the Network. I want to thank the Yankees and especially the Yankee fans. Thank you for letting me be a little part of your day for 20 seasons!

Desi Flaherty was a North Rockland legend, who spent he spent 20 years in the NYPD’s 44th Precinct, where he helped found the 44 Forever Club, and more than 50 years driving a school bus with Haverstraw Transit. It was an honor to commemorate his life of service on the House floor this evening. May his memory be a blessing to his wife Eleanor and their entire family.
