As school leaders start a new year remember the 4 needs of followers as researched by Gallup:
1. Trust: people feel safe to follow you.
2. Compassion: they know you care for them as a person.
3. Stability: people know what you expect and can rely on you.
Today’s leadership lesson from nature.
Being the light for others is what great leaders do best.
They grow others.
They light the way.
Be the light.

Had the opportunity to share the Energy Bus with our staff this afternoon. I’m really looking forward to how the @EnergyBusSchool program will have a positive impact on our school. @DaytonISDKY @JimVanAllan @JonGordon11 #BeBetter #ChoosePositivity
Today’s training partner reminded me of the importance of always seeing yourself accomplishing your goal of getting to that finish line. You can do it!
You have to see it, believe it, to achieve it.
And please try and get outdoors!
Mother Nature recharges you!

The United States ranks 23rd in happiness and Kentucky kids rank 32nd in the USA. We are focusing on the wrong things. We are human beings not human doers.

I listened again to Arthur Brooks podcast on Clifton Strengths.
“The main thing I want students to understand is themselves. Because the most important task of a leader is to lead themselves. If you are going to lead yourself you have to know yourself.
