I’ve heard from several NBA executives about this situation today. The general sentiment is that NBA games can be moved, but it’s extremely difficult two days in advance. There’s employees to schedule, tickets to sell, travel and player health to consider. A few weeks ago, it would have been a lot easier to move a game to Cleveland or from Thursday to Friday (creating back-to-backs for both teams). But last minute is very challenging.

Reminder: this will be the final year that Alabama and LSU play an annual game.
Tide and Tigers will not meet during the 2027 season for the first time since 1963.
LSU next comes to Tuscaloosa in 2028, and Alabama after next week won't go to Baton Rouge for a regular season game until at least 2030 (the SEC has only finalized schedules through 2029).

Is the implication that Cash for Clunkers somehow had a 10 year delay in how it affected the market or are you just dumb?
Barack Obama was horrible in a million different ways, but he doesn’t get anywhere near the hate he deserves for destroying the used car market for an entire generation.
15-year-old cars with 150,000 miles that should be selling for $3,000 are going for $15,000. It’s abominable. Pure destruction and thievery.

This is such an absurd and disingenuous framing.
-Nobody forced anyone to turn in their old cars.
-It was a way to inject much needed funds into family finances during the depths of the Great Recession.
-It is credited with saving the US auto industry at a time when they were on the verge of bankruptcy.
-Average age of a car turned in was 14 years, back in 2009. Virtually none of these cars would be road worthy today, much less enough to affect the used car market in 2026.
This is low IQ right wing engagement farming that goes viral every few months. There’s plenty of legitimate beefs to pick with Obama. Cash for Clunkers is not one of them.

On the third day of January, Dabo Swinney opened a staff meeting with a message: Stop asking me about going to the portal for a quarterback. We have what we need there.

We do it each week, MY Sunday SEC takeaways...
ALABAMA: Another comeback win. QB helped find a way. Missed a few throws. QB designed runs helped. Play action opened some things up. Made plays on scramble drill. OL had some whiffs in the run game. TEs back to being super physical. Counter play had good success. Had a free runner get through. RPO game solid. Off on a few of the reads. OL still stepping on each other a bit. 79 strained. Showed good fight. Had a run stunt hit against them. Liked the picked movement. 3 was dynamic in open field. Run thru hurt in short yardage. 5 had a big day n def, pick 6, PD, solo tackles. Added to run game late with extra defenders. 88 played well vs run. Rush lanes off at times. Forced some miss reads in zone read game. 90 good pass rush reps, good hands vs run. 7 added pressure from depth. 14 looked great on DL, power, twitch! Found a way.

A Texas father who had lived in the U.S. for 25 years with no criminal record was finishing his night shift as an Uber driver when immigration agents detained him.
Without being able to speak to his lawyer or a judge, he was put on a plane and sent first to Ghana, a country where he had no ties. He was then sent to his home country, despite a determination by a U.S. immigration court judge that he could not be deported there due to likely persecution. cbsn.ws/3Ude66r
