Star Trader LBB is the Classic #Traveller (CT) rewrite of Zozer’s 2013 solo trading game, now in Little Black Book form.
You still need a core rule book for character creation, skills, combat, etc. My recommendation would be:
👉 Star Trader LLB - $3.50 (PDF only)
👉 CT-TTB-The Traveller Book - $10 (PDF)
Compared to the original (or Zozer’s broader Solo book), this is shorter and adds a Type A free trader deckplan plus extra solo tools.
🚀 See comments for my QUICK START PLAN
Star Trader is a buy-low/sell-high trading loop that generates actual adventures through ship encounters, jumpspace events, starport trouble, and side jobs.
Everything we love in the #underpunksRPG on Discord and frankly, need a lot more of!
With it, pure bookkeeping gets interrupted by tables of encounters you have to resolve with the rules you already own.
The perfect "me-time" distraction for Traveller GMs

If you've never played the TRAVELLER #TTRPG but always love the trading loops in video games like #Freelancer #EliteDangerous #NoMansSky this might be a great way to SOLO your way in?
Quick start path
1⃣ Get Star Trader LBB + The Traveller Book (which consolidates Books 1–3).
2⃣ Create a small crew using the character rules.
3⃣ Pick or generate a couple of worlds.
4⃣ Start the trading loop - buy cargo, jump, sell, and let the LLB event tables generate adventures along the way.
5⃣ Stay in the game as long as you can before going broke. BUY A BIGGER SHIP!
That’s the minimum complete package for a total newbie.
The Traveller Book started as 3 classic books:
Book 1 - Character creation and skills.
Book 2 - The most critical for Trading rules.
Book 3 - For generating worlds and basic encounters.
SOLO first appeared in 2013 as Star Trader.
It was later rewritten with other solo rules in 2017, published as SOLO.
SOLO 2nd edition was released in 2015.
Star Trader LLB (little black book) was released in October 2026
Shadowrun 7e ? #TTRPG
Anarchy 2.0 is the best on-ramp into the Shadows I’ve seen, especially if you want the setting without drowning in 5e/6e tables.
Almost everything that isn’t a raw attribute is a Shadow Amp: weapons, cyber, powers, gear effects, “just a pistol.”
That’s the whole point. One system for niches instead of five overlapping ones.
But its still incomplete bodywork on a strong chassis.
Balance and some lore are in the hands of GM + player conversations. Experienced runners will fill the holes easily. Beginners should still bring any edition sourcebook.

1/ People keep buying "By This Axe" (a Gold bestseller) despite the AI art getting roasted in reviews.
AI art has come a LONG way, since this “everything about dwarves” supplement was published in 2023
When AI art is good enough that people stop noticing… will anyone even care? 👈
@DriveThruRPG requires AI disclosure, but the "contains Ai generated content" filter is virtually hidden.
4/ The NO AI ART camp for #ttrpg:
#NoAI / #HumanMade / #NoAiArt
vs
“Don’t care” / pro-AI / neutral side:
#AIArt / #AIGenerated / #AIgeneratedart
WOW!

Rot is putting it mildly.
Nothing says "respect the source material" like a publisher sticking a finger-wagging disclaimer on a 1983 Call of Cthulhu supplement, admitting they did "minor editing" to the fictional portrayals of cultures because the original was somehow too problematic, then assuring you they still mostly left it intact so you can "learn from our past."
The Shub-Niggurath rename to Shub-Gorath was just the loud version of the same instinct: preemptive sanitization for the sake of filters, vibes, and a tiny number of people who were never going to buy the products anyway.
The name wasn't derived from the slur.
But sure, let's treat @SandyofCthulhu's classic, 40-year-old horror RPG supplement like it needs a content warning and light scrubbing so modern audiences aren't forced to confront that the 1980s existed and Lovecraftian fiction is often dark and unflattering.
If the material was truly that toxic, don't reprint it.
Selling the classic while tacking on the "we fixed the bad parts for your own good" note is the worse move.
Classic RPG books aren't therapy manuals @Chaosium_Inc
Ah yes, nothing like settling into a reprint of a classic Call of Cthuhlu adventure anthology and finding out the dumbest people in the world have edited it for my own good. 🙄
The rot started long before this whole Shub-Niggurath thing.
Good job @Chaosium_Inc , you guys are complete and utter TRASH.
IS THE AI BUBBLE ABOUT TO BURST?
• Circular financing: $300B equity + $650B debt → $1.4T in future revenue loops
• Debt stress: CoreWeave yields hit 15–16%, ~$50B load, stock −25% in a week
• ROI gap: OpenAI ARR ~$50B (not $70B); only 6% of firms see real EBIT lift from AI
Thread 👇
3/ Revenue and real ROI are lagging the build-out.
👉Even as companies spend hundreds of billions, most are still not seeing the promised bottom-line returns.
FACTS:
OpenAI’s annualized revenue was revised to ~$50B (not the widely cited ~$70B). Labs hold hundreds of billions in non-cancellable compute commitments while token prices keep falling sharply.
Enterprise reality: McKinsey 2026 survey: ~88–89% of organizations use AI, but only 6% qualify as high performers (those attributing ≥5% of EBIT to AI).
That 6% figure is flat year-over-year. On the consumer side, Character.ai filed for bankruptcy after burning $8–9M/month.
BONUS:
The “Scary AI” and “We had to remove it because it was too powerful” narratives from LLM labs is mostly MARKETING.
If AI ever becomes that capable, it will chase the cheapest energy - the Sun or the galactic center - not you and your shitty laptop.
This is why in the #UnderpunksRPG our AI Robot factions has colonised #Mercury
The actual near-term risk is simpler and dumber:
AI quietly plugged into your home, your wearable, and bank account through sloppy vibe coding and zero regulation.
