I disappeared from X for a while. No, I was not in witness protection. I was just building things.
Let me catch you up. 🧵
If my weekly updates went quiet after Week 3, I didn’t drop off. Running the programme and looking after my health meant posting took a back seat. Consider this the catch-up and the finale in one.
The PH Tech Expo 100 VA Scholarship Programme is officially complete. (1/4)
As Project Supervisor at @IgniteVA_Institute, I kept the hybrid setup running (Zoom plus the Nepsix Office, same class at the same time), tracked attendance and assignments, sent all 8 weekly reports to @PHTechExpo, and followed up with scholars who were falling behind. (3/4)
Biggest takeaway: consistency beats a strong start. Thank you to our coaches, Fire Chat guests, squad leaders and every scholar who stayed the course.

Week 2 of the #PHTechExpo100VAScholarshipProgramme is done. 🎉
Day 1: Trello, Asana, Notion + live workflow setup
Day 2: Zoom, Slack, Loom, Canva
Module 3: Essential VA Tools, fully unlocked.
6 weeks to go. 🧵
Our 2nd Fire Chat guest, Favour Balogun, told trainees you don't wait for "real" work to build a portfolio, you create the evidence.
Shoutout to our most active squads this week: Squad 2, 10 & 5.

Week 1 of the #PHTechExpo100VAScholarshipProgramme is wrapped. 🎉
Day 2 yesterday — Module 2: Core Admin Skills. Facilitator online, onsite students on a big screen, virtual students on Zoom.
I coordinated both sides, tracked students, resolved issues, & got the weekly report.
These students are learning. And they're showing up.

Posting this late but Day 1 of the #PHTechExpo100VAScholarshipProgramme deserves its own moment.
Fixed what needed fixing. Tracked students. Coordinated volunteers. Kept everything moving.
Then my laptop had issues after the session.

Went to a friend's house and worked through the night anyway.
The job doesn't stop because the equipment did. 💪🏾

New role alert!

My job is to make sure all 100 graduate.
Let's go. 🙌🏾

Most software projects fail before a line of code is written.
Wrong questions asked. Wrong problem defined. Wrong thing built.
The discovery phase is not a formality.
It is the most important work in any software project.

Members become ambassadors.
They invite people in. They talk about the community outside of it. They are proud to be part of something.
You cannot manufacture that. You have to build it.
Good engagement means the community has a life of its own.
Your job as a community manager is to build something that does not fall apart when you step away.
