“Elon says he is a free speech champion and he is banning journalists for exercising free speech.” Sorry, Twitter, I tried to roll with all this, but I just can’t anymore. pressenterprise.com/2022/12/…
Clouds are looking lovely over the Sikh Gurdwara in Jurupa Valley today. Bonus: red-shouldered hawk looking for lunch. Everything smells so fresh and clean - get out there and enjoy it!
Pink rain, small 🌈 over Jurupa Valley at sunset today. No filter, just Mother Nature doin’ her thing. Muchas gracias.
Early morning dog walk in the Jurupa Hills to say hello to Fall and some mountains I can’t always see in the summer due to smog. That’s Mt. San Bernardino back center, and Box Springs Mountain back right. Rattlesnake Hill in the middle ground. Bring on Autumn! 🍂
Bowl of fresh-picked mint in water froze in my fridge. Was annoyed… but it’s actually kinda pretty. #reframing
It may be hot out still, but at least sunset is pretty. Go look! Photo taken from inside the house. Jurupa Valley today. #HeatWave
Tonight's viewing pleasure, free courtesy of Mother Nature: Big yellow moon🌕 floating full through wisps of clouds, and five little bats 🦇alighting from palm trees to eat bugs over over my neighborhood. I am so ready for autumn! 🎃
Mom and I have been watching bats 🦇 in our neighborhood these fine summer evenings. I think we saw five bats leave their roosts tonight - enjoy my video. Most SoCal bats eat insects like mosquitoes -- eat faster little dudes!
Say hello to my pretty little friend. Western fence lizard, Jurupa Valley today. Common in SoCal yards, a protein in their blood kills the Lyme Disease bacteria. If you haven't had Lyme Disease, thank a fence lizard. More info on them can be found here: californiaherps.com/lizards/…
My first story as a FREELANCER for the Redlands Daily Facts; can't keep me away for long. Great to see this project moving forward; it has the potential to really help some of the city's most vulnerable residents. redlandsdailyfacts.com/2022/…
Visited the Jurupa Hills today with Super Adventure Dog Abby.🐶Now she smells like the sagebrush that likely gave the area its name which is probably the Spanishized version of the Native American plant name “Jurungva.” Also, saw a cute wishbone flower. 🌸

Fox! 🦊 OMG! One of the benefits of working at the Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District is special moments like this in the parking lot at our demonstration garden.
My first few days as a fulltime Resource Educator at the Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District: taking glamor shots of our demonstration garden, watching a dove🕊️on a fountain, enjoying the light through palo verde flowers by the lawn alternatives. Onward!
If anyone wants my old gig as a reporter for the Redlands Daily Facts: I must say, it's good work, and team is freakin' awesome.

I always try to end my stories with what a reader can do to help. If you value local news you can trust, subscribe. Reporters have families to feed, too. Here’s how: redlandsdailyfacts.com/subsc… PE.com/subscribe
Talking to homeless dads and water experts; covering funerals for military heroes and terror victims; witnessing wildfires and the aftermath of fatal crashes, what I’m most grateful for from this🗞job is perspective. Life is short. Everyone has a story. Listen more. 💚
On my last day as a newspaper🗞️employee, a few memories: camel eating my camera, blimp ride, rattlesnake protection in the Santa Ana River wash, Oak Glen storm damage. It's all about the people: those with stories, those who read and my amazing colleagues. Thank you all!🙏🙏🙏
I was happy to finally write about some good news for the historic Frink adobe before I leave the newspaper. Built in 1874 it's likely that the first orange trees in the Inland Empire were planted there, and are actually still growing there. 🍊🏡 redlandsdailyfacts.com/2022/…
