Britain's longest running soap opera,, complete with freaks, psychos and unbelievable story lines, faces the chop.
It’s time to get rid of this, isn’t it? 👑 An unelected, undemocratic institution where the top job is decided purely by an accident of birth. No votes, no merit just sperm. It costs us over £1bn a year while public services crumble. Time to abolish the monarchy.

Scotland's Press As predicted by Beater News last month, the Daily Vow's wee frazzled editor bows out. Hutcheon, late of the Herald, is now reported as late of the Daily Record. He quit yesterday. All mention of the hack's paper has been removed from his social media profile on Twitter-X. [Just likethose dictator run countries Tories demean - eh? ] His pen has run out of ink, his iPad shut down, his keyboard fused. Who will fill his toe curling shoes? How about a resurrection: Murray Foote, the previous pretender given a SNP job by Madam Bauchle? The thought is enough to shiver our plastic injected timbers.

So Joani Reid is married to a Chinese spy, had an affair with a military nuclear sub captain, and also an editor of a significant Scottish newspaper, and nobody thinks that's a big story?

Exclusive: The Bell has learned political editor of the Daily Record, Paul Hutcheon, has quit, after an alleged affair with Labour MP for East Kilbride, Joani Reid. As reported by Private Eye, Hutcheon oversaw favourable exclusives of Reid at his paper in past few months.

Scotland’s North Sea energy: a burden when we talk about independence, but a valuable asset when Westminster needs the money? Sounds familiar 🤔

Every pro-independence Scot needs to understand this. Please share and keep sharing.🙏
"Reclaiming sovereignty is a route to the international courts and to a declaration of independence and reclaiming Scotland's sovereignty. "This is about how you get independence. It's still not accepted by the Scottish National Party, still not understood by many people. Independence is not a question of domestic politics. "Independence is a question of international law. "Independence is your existence as a state in relation to other international states. "And it's that recognition which makes you an independent state, nothing to do with your domestic politics. If other states recognise you as an international state, you are a state. "It doesn't matter what the UK government thinks, they don't have a veto. All of this is part of the practical path to independence. The political route is a dead end. It's deliberately a dead end. "The entire colonial system of administering Scotland through a puppet council in Holyrood that calls itself a parliament and which does nothing, in fact, about independence, all of that is 'a blind', that route, everyone can see it's stalled. "The SNP could win another five elections on the trot and they still won't actually do anything about independence. "To achieve independence, you have to go down the routes we are doing. Of course, that has to be allied with increasing domestic support for independence and for your eventual Declaration of Independence and assertion of that in the international fora. "Of course, you need domestic support and to build it, but the UK political process is a complete and utter dead end. What we are doing is essential to independence. "And finally, I would say it still astonishes me that there are literally hundreds of people, from the SNP, employed in one way or another, employed in highly paid jobs as MPs, as MPs, assistants, as research assistants, as special advisors, as members of the Scottish Parliament, as government ministers. "There are all these professional people who are paid. None of us, nobody here is getting paid a penny. And we are doing for nothing what these paid hacks from the SNP should have been doing a decade ago." In January your UK energy bill is going up by over £400 a year. But at least you are gifting Lamborghinis and gold toilets to Ukrainian oligarchs.
Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine poses a serious threat to UK prosperity and security. That's why this Budget is providing over £10bn in additional support to Ukraine.

Absolutely fascinating. Colonialists buried the history of every civilisation they invaded, plundered and occupied. Not one of us was allowed to learn real Scottish history. Ancient records sent to American universities (according to my tutors at the School of Scottish Studies.) Welsh? Irish? The nations of N. America became ‘tribes’, their cities bulldozed, records destroyed. The Africans from whom Western ‘civilisation’ developed had ‘no history’ and the Egyptian civilisation was turned into a kind of hybrid European creation based on the installed regime of the Ptolemaic dynasty. Always, always the coloniser rewrites their crime as the civilisation of a primitive people. Always.
The Nile is not a border. This is the simplest version of the argument and also the one that should require the least explanation. The Nile flows from the interior of Africa northward to the Mediterranean. The civilizations along its length were in constant contact, trading, fighting, exchanging people and ideas and religious concepts and agricultural techniques across what was not a separation but a connection. The civilization of ancient Egypt did not emerge in isolation. It emerged in relationship with the Nubian civilizations to its south, some of whose cultures predated the unification of Egypt, which contributed to and drew from Egyptian culture across millennia. The kings of Kush would eventually rule Egypt as its 25th Dynasty. And across the centuries that followed, Kushite civilization would leave behind something that still surprises people today. More pyramids. In what is now Sudan. Built by the civilization that the Western imagination has most completely erased. There are more ancient pyramids in Sudan than in Egypt. Most people reading that sentence right now are encountering it for the first time. That is not because the information is obscure. It is because the information does not fit a story that someone needed to be true. And the information that does not fit the story does not make it into the classroom.
