Every day I log on and see people screaming about a fabricated “white genocide” in South Africa while outright denying, mocking, or handwaving very real, very documented genocides unfolding. Take your pick: 1. Gaza and the West Bank (Israel-Palestine) 2. Darfur, Sudan 3. Tigray, Ethiopia 4. Rohingya in Myanmar 5. Nagorno-Karabakh (Armenians in Azerbaijan) 6. Southern Kaduna, Nigeria Now compare that to whtever genocide is being flaunted for white South Africans because we aren't disgusted enough by how selective the treatment of people is in this world where all of this information is available, all of the time. It’s mentally draining. It’s spiritually exhausting. It exposes just how deep the rot of racial propaganda and selective empathy really goes. We are watching people remove entire populations. It's documented and published on social media every day and somehow, this isn’t treated as urgent. It’s debated. Sanitised. Hidden behind euphemisms and bad-faith outrage about “context.” People are justifying the eradication of entire groups of people? What has happened to us? Meanwhile, the same people are foaming at the mouth to “save white South African farmers” from what exactly? Democracy? Demographics? The unbearable reality of living alongside Black people? The same people are dead silent when actual genocide stares them in the face. They've written absolutely nothing about anyone that doesn't look like them. It’s not about peace. It’s not about safety. It’s about which lives they believe matter, let's be absolutely clear on that. And if this is the world we’ve built, where fake persecution gets headlines and real atrocities get hashtags and shrugs, then the rest of us have a duty to keep yelling, grieving, and exposing this madness until people finally start to see it.
