Missed this yesterday: It looks like Derrick Henry sent all of Alabama's running backs Gameday Boots.
"To the Alabama Running Backs,
"You've put in the work and battled through the first month of the season -- love what I'm seeing from this room. I wanted each of you to have a pair of Alabama Gameday Boots to wear with pride and represent the Tide. Keep grinding, stay hungry, and go handle your business. Roll Tide!"

Alabama CB Chuck McDonald lost his mom, Tameka, to a heart attack on October 21, 2023.
Three years and three days later, her son recorded his first interception.
Chuck told me after the game,
“That one is all for her!”

🏈 LOUISIANA CAREER PASSING TOUCHDOWN RECORD 🏈
CONGRATULATIONS to Elijah Haven '27 on breaking the STATE RECORD for career passing touchdowns! The previous record was 145 passing touchdowns, held by Brock Berlin from Evangel. Elijah threw his 146th career passing touchdown in the third quarter of tonight's victory over Episcopal with a touchdown throw to Jarone Harris '27.
Elijah already has broken the total (passing + rushing) touchdown record, breaking that in last years State Championship game. He is up to 197 total touchdowns for his career after tonight, with 147 passing and 50 rushing.
We are SO PROUD of Elijah and the way that he represents our school, both on the field and off the field. Congratulations again, and GO TIGERS!

The Elite 11 finalist accounted for all five of the Warriors first half touchdowns before being replaced by 2029 QB Jahari Nation early in the second half.

I don’t know who or what needs to change but that wasn’t the brand of ball that we’ve all grown accustomed to seeing coming out of Tuscaloosa. I can take losing to UGA in a hard fought game. But this today wasn’t Alabama football. And I know week to week it’s hard but we still gotta give ourselves a chance to be successful. We did not by no means today.

Auburn and Tenn just showed you why you gotta show up and play every week. Go in these stadiums sleep walking your ass will leave wit a L

Of course.
Not biased at all.
Cool cool.

The game should have never came down to letting the refs affect it. Def didn’t play as good as they have in the first 5 weeks. But all positive things moving toward. Gotta learn from it and move on. Will see them again for sure!! All in all #RollTide

Keelon Russell: "I got to execute at a higher level. I did not play my best game tonight. Countless throws that I missed. I just got to be better. ... I got to do a better job commanding the offense."

For me, I absolutely WANT my son coached hard. It’s why we brought him to Thompson @WARRIORNATION20, and when I see stuff like this, it only reinforces my confidence in where he’s headed next.
We want him held accountable, corrected when he’s wrong, and challenged to meet a high standard. And if that occasionally requires an ass chewing, so be it.
Last spring, @haha_cd6 lit Trent up in a DM for wearing Crocs/slides on a spring practice visit. 😂 Trent was already committed. And I appreciated every bit of it.
THAT’S the kind of accountability I want around my son. Not just to make him a better football player, but a better young man.
