Trump berates Zelensky, the leader of a democratic country courageously fighting Russian imperialism, while he allies himself with Putin, a dictator who started the bloodiest European war in 80 years.
Sorry, President Trump. We believe in democracy, not authoritarianism.

And the Trump presidency begins with the richest person in the world giving a Nazi salute.

Just found out that rabbits can swim. Also learned their ears go into swim mode when they do. This is important news.

I mean the bar was in hell for Donald Trump and he didn’t clear it. That’s actually what this is about. This country expects less than nothing from privileged white men. And they provide it in abundance.

But I feel shame for just being a photographer who documents
I wish I could do more than just documenting and talking about it.

Crying heals your body.
It releases oxytocin and endorphins and brings you back to a parasympathetic state.

Screaming, yelling, shaking, sobbing, moaning are primal releases. They're how we actually release emotion from the body. But they're also what our culture wants us to suppress.
Masking has kept emotion and trauma stored in our bodies.

A year ago today we tragically lost my 11 y/o niece Kenyah. It felt like all the breath in my body left this earth when she did. But I’ve been learning to breathe again day by day. This grief has taught such much about life and death. And about how precious time truly is.
Kenyah did not get the opportunity to experience her teenage years. But that did not stop her from having an impact on this earth. Since her passing the lives of teenage girls have been positively impacted by Kenyah’s Kart. An initiative that her mother and Vice Principal Beyonka Marshall started in her memory. This past school year Kenyah’s Kart has provided free menstrual products to girls who face period poverty at Vallejo High School.
We hope that this initiative is able to continue in her memory. We don’t know where this will go, but currently Kenyah’s Kart is providing young girls with accessibility to products in a safe space that can aid in their experience during such a sensitive time.
Even in her afterlife, she has made me proud. I miss you everyday Kenyah and always will.

For the second time since the Thesis began, the monthly hip-hop showcase held a yacht party. Of course we sent music columnist @JenniferKayMo. Her recap includes fierce performances and a reminder that smoking pot on the Portland Spirit is not allowed.
