His words have been so moving. I’d he can stand this long, the very least we can do is listen.
BREAKING: Cory Booker has now been holding the Senate floor for an incredible 21 hours.
And he's only getting stronger with every passing minute. This 1-minute clip right now should mark a pivotal moment for the Democratic Party. It’s a turning point for all Americans who care deeply about preserving our democracy, and it’s a clarion call for young people to rise up and ignite a powerful grassroots movement across this nation.
This is the energy we need to fuel real change. Let this moment serve as the spark that lights the fire of action, accountability, and justice.

It’s been over 13 hours since I started speaking, and I intend to stay on the Senate floor as long as I’m physically able. I’m here to do my job, as a Senator from New Jersey, to lift the voices of Americans who are being harmed by President Trump. I'm am speaking up.

BREAKING: Cory Booker has now held the Senate floor for over 16 hours straight and counting.
Currently, 27,000 people are tuning in live via a single YouTube stream, and more than 4 million viewers have already engaged with portions of his speech.
This is the kind of momentum Democrats need. People are watching to see how long he can keep going, but in the process, they’re being exposed to truths and facts that many don’t hear from mainstream outlets like Fox News.

BREAKING: Trump is reportedly moving to eliminate the Department of Education, just like Project 2025 mapped out.
We told you. We screamed it. But some of y’all were too busy swallowing propaganda to read the fine print.
CONGRATS: Now you kids will be even more ignorant than you are.

Despicable. As families grieve, Trump should be leading, not lying. We put safety first, drove down close calls, grew Air Traffic Control, and had zero commercial airline crash fatalities out of millions of flights on our watch.
President Trump now oversees the military and the FAA. One of his first acts was to fire and suspend some of the key personnel who helped keep our skies safe. Time for the President to show actual leadership and explain what he will do to prevent this from happening again.

I didn’t think I’d see it in my lifetime, but I’m the mother of a daughter, and I have tears in my eyes that this has finally happened.

Today I'm affirming what I have long believed and what three-fourths of the states have ratified:
The 28th Amendment is the law of the land, guaranteeing all Americans equal rights and protections under the law regardless of their sex.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The National Archivist who is responsible for enrolling new amendments has stated that that the ERA has not been lawfully ratified, citing a legal opinion drafted by the Biden Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel in 2022 confirming this position.

As a social historian of magic I've always had a problem with the concept of the "Enlightenment". Our world today proves we are just on a continuum of disbelief & disregard for rationalism, which more or less impacts on society in general.
My father took me to so many of their concerts, and a lot of their songs I still know well. Some I taught my children.
Agreed. It's hard to explain how free we were - the things we got up to. I am glad I was a child then, and I try to create freeing moments for my kids when I can.

Makes me sad re-reading this amazing letter from ex-Watergate Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox sent to high school seniors in 1994 after they asked him “What should Americans learn from Watergate?”
His answer is remarkable—unfortunately things didn’t work out so well in 2024.
