A good friend told an account of a woman who said she didn't want to accept a God that killed people. He replied, "That was the Old Testament. NOW , because He doesn't want to kill again, He sent His Son to die for our sins. She wept- she understood." @Jenyour

Father,
I come before You on behalf of every person bound by substance addiction. Stretch out Your mighty hand and deliver them. Break every chain. Shatter every stronghold. Destroy the power that has held them captive. Bring them out of darkness and the deepest gloom, and break away every chain that ties them. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom — so fill them now with Your Spirit and set them free.
Rebuke the enemy’s grip over their mind, body, and desires. Let the blood of Jesus speak a better word over their life. Deliver them completely. Rescue them from the pit. Lift them out of the miry clay and set their feet on solid ground. Give them a new heart and a new spirit. Remove the heart of stone and give them a heart that beats for You. Take away the craving that leads to death and replace it with a deep hunger for life in You. Strengthen them with power in their inner being. Give them a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Make a way of escape in every moment of temptation, and give them the courage to take it. We declare deliverance, healing, and lasting freedom over them today. Complete the work You have started. Let nothing be left unfinished.
In the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen.
