Gov @CalebMutfwang is positioning Plateau 4 industrial growth, investment, job creation n economic prosperity. Frm agro-processing to an industrial park n permanent trade fair complex, the vision is clear: a productive, prosperous Plateau. 2027 is the time to sustain the progress.
GOVERNOR MUTFWANG TARGETS PLATEAU AS INDUSTRIAL PROCESSING HUB, UNVEILS PLANS FOR TRADE FAIR COMPLEX Plateau State Governor, His Excellency Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Esq., has unveiled plans to position the state as a major industrial processing and commercial hub in Nigeria within the next two to three years, with renewed investments in agriculture, livestock development, tourism, innovation and youth employment. The Governor made this known on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, while declaring open the 11th Jos National Trade Fair, organised by the Plateau State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PLACCIMA) at the Jos Polo Field, Joseph Gomwalk Road, Jos. Governor Caleb Mutfwang reiterated his administration's resolve to pursuing strategic economic reforms and infrastructure investments to unlock Plateau State’s productive potential. " The plans of my administration is to establish a permanent trade fair and exhibition complex in the state, attract private capital and expand opportunities for businesses and residents." He directed the Chief Simon Tangni-led stakeholders to immediately commence preparations for the next edition while charging Elder Mulus Daring to chair a committee to identify suitable locations, with the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry serving as secretary while elder statesman Chief S.D. Makama to advise the committee, drawing on his extensive experience in public administration and commerce. The Governor explained that the proposed facility would provide a permanent platform for manufacturers, investors, entrepreneurs and traders to showcase products, establish business relationships and facilitate commercial transactions beyond the annual trade fair. “The time for Plateau State to rise and to move forward commercially in trade, investment and innovation, the time is now." On industrial development, the Governor disclosed that Hill Station Hotel had commenced operations, while efforts were ongoing to revive Plateau Hotel and other dormant industries. He also announced plans to reconstruct a modern abattoir with a capacity to process up to 500 cattle daily as part of a broader strategy to develop the livestock economy and strengthen its contribution to jobs, food supply and commercial activity. Mutfwang also revealed that his recent visit to China had resulted in a Memorandum of Understanding with Chinese investors for the development of an industrial park in Plateau State. He expressed optimism that the proposed investment, alongside improvements in energy supply and the business environment, would support manufacturing, processing and enterprise development. Agriculture and agro-processing featured prominently in the Governor’s economic agenda. He said his administration was working to revitalise potato production, promote the Plateau Potato brand and develop processing facilities capable of serving domestic and export markets. Plans were also underway to establish cold-chain facilities for potatoes, vegetables and fruits to reduce post-harvest losses, improve product quality and enable farmers to access more profitable markets. The Governor further disclosed that discussions were ongoing with Nigerian Breweries to expand barley production on the Plateau, highlighting the potential for stronger linkages between local farmers and industrial manufacturers. On the ease of doing business, the Governor said Plateau State had ranked among Nigeria’s top five states in the preceding year, adding that his administration was working to make land more accessible to genuine investors. He cited the issuance of Certificates of Occupancy as evidence of efforts to improve access to land and facilitate investment.

Governor @CalebMutfwang is proving that governance is about touching lives, not just making promises. From free medical treatment to bringing hope to indigent families, his commitment to accessible healthcare reflects compassion in action. More grace H. E. #TheTimeIsNow2027.
GOVERNOR MUTFWANG’S FREE MEGA MEDICAL OUTREACH PROVIDES A LIFELINE TO INDIGENT PERSONS ACROSS PLATEAU STATE. In a renewed effort to bring quality healthcare closer to the people, the Plateau State Government has continued to provide free medical services to indigent and vulnerable residents across the state through the Free Mega Medical Outreach, sponsored by the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, and the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Ngo Josephine Piyo. At the Shendam and Mangu General Hospitals, designated centres for the Southern and Central Senatorial Districts, respectively, hundreds of residents, including women, children, the elderly and other vulnerable persons, have turned out to access essential medical services at no cost. For many beneficiaries, the outreach has brought relief, renewed hope and an opportunity to receive medical attention that might otherwise have been beyond their financial reach. The programme offered a wide range of services, including eye care, dental treatment, laboratory investigations and surgical procedures, providing comprehensive medical support to residents who need it most. Beyond immediate treatment, the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, PLASCHEMA, is also enrolling eligible beneficiaries into health insurance schemes to promote sustained access to healthcare beyond the duration of the outreach. Speaking on the progress of the exercise, the Team Lead, Dr. Nuhu Ma’an, disclosed that hundreds of residents continue to turn out daily to benefit from the programme. He expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the exercise, commending the dedication of the medical teams and their commitment to providing timely and appropriate care to beneficiaries. Dr. Ma’an further assured the public that adequate medical personnel had been deployed to the two centres, with teams working to ensure that patients receive the attention and treatment they require. He also announced that the outreach will soon be extended to the Northern Senatorial District, where the Executive Governor is scheduled to perform the flag-off next week, bringing the programme to the remaining senatorial zone of the state. The Free Mega Medical Outreach reflects the Plateau State Government’s focus on expanding access to healthcare and reducing the financial burden of medical treatment on vulnerable households. By bringing essential health services closer to the people, the initiative seeks to ensure that more residents can access medical attention regardless of their financial circumstances. For the beneficiaries, the programme is more than a medical intervention. It is an opportunity for better health, renewed hope and improved well-being. As the outreach prepares to extend its reach across all three senatorial districts, the initiative highlights the importance of accessible healthcare in building healthier communities and ensuring that no resident is left without the opportunity to receive essential medical care because of financial hardship.

GOVERNOR MUTFWANG TASKS NEW APPOINTEES ON DELIVERING MANDATE, STRENGTHENING GOVERNANCE Plateau State Governor, His Excellency, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Esq., has charged newly appointed Special Adviser and Honorary Special Advisers to justify the confidence reposed in them by contributing meaningfully to governance, strengthening public confidence and delivering tangible results for the people of the state. The Governor gave the charge on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, during the swearing-in ceremony of the appointees at Victoria Gowon Hall, New Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos, where he emphasised that public office was a responsibility that demanded integrity, discipline, accountability and an unwavering commitment to the collective interest of Plateau State. “From the outset, our administration has been guided by a clear conviction: the mandate freely entrusted to us by the people of Plateau State is not a privilege to be enjoyed, but a solemn responsibility to be discharged with integrity, humility, sincerity and measurable results,” Governor Mutfwang declared. He explained that the appointments were intended to strengthen the state’s governance structure, broaden consultation, enhance policy formulation and implementation, and bring additional expertise into government. He reminded the appointees that "your appointments were not merely recognitions of personal achievement; they are calls to greater responsibility, sacrifice, loyalty and accountability to the people of Plateau State.” Governor Mutfwang charged them to provide sound policy advice, identify practical solutions to emerging challenges and ensure that government decisions translated into measurable improvements in citizens’ lives. “Your recommendations must be timely, evidence-based and guided by the overriding interest of Plateau State,” he said, urging them to demonstrate professionalism and the capacity to turn ideas into actionable proposals. On teamwork and accountability, the Governor cautioned against personal interests and unnecessary rivalries, insisting that loyalty must be reflected in responsible service and commitment to the administration’s mandate. “Our administration needs people who can offer honest advice, identify workable solutions and remain focused on the collective interest of the state,” he stressed. Highlighting his administration’s priorities, Governor Mutfwang reaffirmed that peace and security remained paramount, citing the reinvigoration of Operation Rainbow, strengthened community-based security efforts and the training of approximately 1,500 personnel. He also pointed to investments in healthcare, education, agriculture, energy, water supply, sanitation, transportation and road infrastructure, noting that these interventions were intended to improve living standards, particularly in rural and underserved communities. Acknowledging that more work remained to be done, the Governor urged the appointees to remain accessible and responsive to the concerns of citizens, especially women, young people, farmers, entrepreneurs and vulnerable populations. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to rebuilding affected communities, strengthening peace and creating an environment where every citizen could live and prosper with dignity. Equally, Governor Mutfwang expressed deep sorrow over the fresh attack in Gyero village, Jos South Local Government Area, describing the incident as deeply troubling, particularly at a time when the government has made significant investments and intensified efforts to strengthen security and protect lives and property across the state. He urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate closely with security agencies by providing timely, credible, and actionable intelligence, including early warning signals, to facilitate swift intervention and prevent further attacks.

Dear opposition in Plateau, I hope you all are doing well today! I want to make your jobs easy by half. These are roads from just one agency of government. Kindly go through and identify any road that hasn't been given attention but included here. Note that these are roads mostly in Jos that most of us use everyday. I'm sure Jos based X users won't forget how Farin Gada to UJ or Building Materials-Sabon Barki-Bukuru Low Cost used to be in a hurry. I can also share that of Ministry of Works where most of their projects are outside the city center. Mutfwang can't give attention to everything at a go due to inadequate resources but the impact of the baby steps are felt and much more will be done. Kangang, Dong, Rangarasan people, I'm hearing there's progress from your areas...

Kaduna campaign flag-off reaffirms our support for President Tinubu re-election. Federal road projects in Plateau strengthen our confidence in the Renewed Hope Agenda. Together, let us advance security, unity and prosperity for all. @CalebMutfwang #TheTimeIsNow
Today, I joined His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR; the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda; the Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari; my fellow Governors; members of the National Assembly; and other distinguished party leaders and faithful at the official flag-off of the 2027 presidential campaign in Kaduna State. The flag-off marks the commencement of our collective journey towards securing the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for a second term in office. It is also an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to consolidating the gains of the administration’s economic reforms, strengthening national cohesion, deepening democratic governance, and building a united, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria. For us in Plateau State, our support for President Tinubu’s re-election is anchored in the tangible interventions and demonstrated commitment of his administration to the development of our state and the welfare of our people. The ongoing construction of the Akwanga–Jos–Gombe Road, alongside the approval for the construction of the Mararaban Jama’a–Mangu–Shendam–Ibi Road linking Plateau State to Taraba State, represents a significant federal investment in our infrastructure, connectivity, and economic growth. These projects will enhance mobility, facilitate trade, open up communities, create economic opportunities, and strengthen Plateau State’s contribution to the national economy. They also demonstrate the importance of purposeful leadership that recognises the developmental needs of every part of our country. We equally acknowledge with profound gratitude the compassion and humanitarian commitment of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, whose philanthropic interventions have brought relief, hope, and support to vulnerable individuals and households across Plateau State. Her motherly disposition and commitment to the welfare of the less privileged remain deeply appreciated by our people. As we begin this campaign journey, we are determined to sustain the progress already made, strengthen our national unity, advance economic recovery, and ensure that the benefits of governance reach every Nigerian, irrespective of ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation. I am confident that, through collective responsibility, purposeful leadership, and sustained commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, we can build a Nigeria where peace, security, opportunity, and prosperity are within the reach of all. Together, let us consolidate the gains, strengthen our unity, and build a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
