RIP my shop made slitting saw arbor. Next one will make the threaded shaft be about 3x the diameter. Dunno what I was thinking there but the cutting forces twisted the narrow shaft apart.

and so when some tech bro slides into my replies going "adapt or die" then I actually hate you
I legitimately hate how careless you are, how unempathetic you are, how little you care for creativity, or people who are clearly unhappy about this
Of course I immediately snapped my only 4mm two flute end mill so it’s been slow going babying a four flute through this deep slot. Chip clearing is killing me. In hindsight, I should have started with a horizontal setup and a 2mm slitting saw then chased it with an end mill 🤷♂️
Eight years ago he saw his first college baseball game and got on the field to run the bases post game. Now he’s pitching and playing OF on the same field, getting a taste of college baseball at the Stanford Baseball All Star high school summer camp. Time is flying! – at Palo Alto, CA

took my son through san francisco during pride week and am appalled by what we saw. dark suits worn without ties, suit jackets worn with jeans, low-rise slim-fit chinos, dress sneakers, oxford shoes in casual outfits, polos with "business backpacks," a preponderance of tan shoes
First pitch to a live batter in more than six months. Six months of IL and grinding through 5-6 days a week of PT and med ball workouts. No velo but curve was working and he could locate his fastball for three shutout innings of relief. So grateful to Coach Adna and Dr Cheung. 🙏
My take on Brown and Sharpe’s Planer and Shaper Gage. Picked up some A2 tool steel off eBay. Do I need more projects right now? No, no I do not but 🤷♂️

Amazing 2023 gathering of many of the founders of the computer graphics field in the 1960’s and 70’s! The PC 3D revolution was spawned in the early 1990’s as @ID_AA_Carmack and others found tricks to make the elder generation’s algorithms run fast on x86.
