In Weslaco at get-out-the-vote rally Democrat @PulidoForTexas tells thousands he’s fighting to bring balance to politics. He says people here want to see Dems and Republicans working together for the good of the community. – at Weslaco, TX
“It’s good to be home,” Democrat @GinaHinojosaTX says to thousands at a get-out-to-vote rally in Weslaco.
Hinojosa said Texas is ready to end Gov Greg Abbott’s 30 year political career.
“People want change,” she said. – at Weslaco, TX
“Elon Musk is trying to buy this Senate seat in Texas” @jamestalarico says in Weslaco (about 60 miles from SpaceX).
Talarico repeated that Musk is spending more than $150M to defeat him and elect Ken Paxton.
“He wants his very own personal US Senator,” he says – at Weslaco, TX
I’m in Weslaco in the Rio Grande Valley right now for a get-out-the-vote rally with @jamestalarico @GinaHinojosaTX & @PulidoForTexas. Check out the crowd as they wait for them and @tigresdelnorte who will perform later.
As Elon Musk increases his spending and jabs at him, Talarico has been making him a bigger part of his campaign speeches.
U.S. Senate candidate @jamestalarico (D-TX) on Elon Musk involvement in Texas senate race: "If you've gotten lies in your mailbox, that was Elon. If you've received a text message, saying scary things about me with scary black and white photos, that was Elon too."
In the Tidwell area, voting is up 170% from four years ago.
Big reason? Lots of candidates on the ballot generating interest, including chance that @letitiaplummer become first Black woman county judge in Harris.
“We’ve got to keep it up,” @harrisdemocrats chair Traci A Gibson tells me.
She said they’ve been implementing a program started months ago to make sure voters get out.
“We’re going to shock the nation and shock the world when we take back Texas,” @jamestalarico says after voting in Austin this morning. Below, this is him leaving the polling site with his mom and girlfriend. – at Austin, TX
From @amyewalter: Despite being outspent by millions in TV advertising, Democratic Senate candidates narrowly lead their GOP opponents in three red states critical to control of the U.S. Senate: Ohio, Texas and Iowa. The Democratic candidates for governor also lead in two out of three of these states.

“If the terms were right, I’d have no problem” debating Talarico, Paxton says.
What are his terms?
“I don’t know what all the terms are but I do know I don’t want a CNN reporter.”
Fox News said it would host if Paxton agreed, after Talarico challenged him to a debate there.
I had jerky at Buc-ee’s with @KenPaxtonTX and talked about his emotions going into the midterms.

Harris County (Houston) voters really got out on that 1st day of in person early voting on Monday. Check out the graph showing the 1st day voting on Monday compared to previous two midterm election cycles via @HarrisVotes
Mystery solved! Why is there record breaking early voting in Harris County, Texas. Check out the coolest voting sticker in America!
There if you needed another reason to vote, here it is. If you don't want one of these, what's wrong with you?
A really, really bad sign for Ken Paxton's campaign.
Harris County (biggest in Texas) had more than 104K people vote on the 1st day of early voting. That is a 65% increase from 2018 when Beto O'Rourke won the county by 200K and nearly beat Ted Cruz.
