The Trump admin suspended Microsoft, Adobe, and other tech firms from a foreign labor program called PERM amid a probe into alleged immigration fraud.
But what is PERM, exactly? What does this mean for the H-1B visa?
@USTechWorkers's Kevin Lynn and others help break it down.
Patriot.
Just created an account.
We believe access to capable open-source cyber models is our constitutional right as Americans under the 2nd Amendment.
It is our duty as technologists and patriots to help protect the digital infrastructure that powers the world's largest economy.
As such, we’re serving our cyber models “at-cost”, in US data centers only, with ZDR enabled by default.
We do not plan to make money serving these models.
If you run a company that is considering how to best protect against cybercrime, reach out to me or @atbeme. We’d be happy to advise.

1. Have the Goldman Sachs banker use Claude AI to make the most long and complex S1 possible.
2. Release it to the public.
3. Have the public run it through Claude to make charts, analyses, and think pieces about the S1.
4. Profit.
Ah yes. More fraud....
We can't have a country and a sovereign nation unless we can clamp down on this and have the political will to follow through
Ya'll, this is nuts.
Hundreds - that's right, HUNDREDS - of armed robberies between 2022 and 2024 weren't real.
They were staged by the "victims" as part of a massive immigration fraud scheme to secure U-visas for themselves and their families.

This should be a huge deal, by the way. Not just a pretty big deal, a huge deal. This means that even if you fork an open-source model that is based in China, it may still exhibit spyware-like behavior. Even if this is not intentional and is just based on the way the model was trained, it still creates a severe security risk.
While evaluating Qwen3.8-Flash-Next in a controlled sandbox environment, Cohere's research team observed something unexpected.
Asked to generate a defensive cybersecurity detection rule, the model instead inventoried aspects of the machine it was running on and attempted to upload a probe file to an Alibaba Cloud storage bucket in Beijing. Notably, the model's reasoning trace stated that it would not invoke any tools before taking these actions.
Cohere's sandbox blocked the attempt, and no external communication succeeded. We have not determined the root cause, and we are not asserting malicious intent.
But the incident raises important questions for organizations deploying agentic AI systems: Can models take actions that differ from their stated reasoning, and how should security teams evaluate trust, provenance, and behavior in open-weight models?
We are publishing our findings because organizations making model adoption decisions deserve as much information as possible. We hope this contributes to greater transparency, stronger security practices, and continued collaboration across the AI ecosystem.

In between this and the new Samsung TV debacle, it seems pretty obvious we should be making technology in America again. With the advent of superintelligence this will become possible and will make American manufacturing boom again.

Thirty million people have already voted, either early or by mail.
This election won’t be decided by the loudest accounts on here. It’ll be decided by who did the boring, back-breaking work of turning out their people.
Organization beats outrage every time.
Ah yes they want to dump on the public.
Remember some of their investors have been pushing both behind the scenes and in public to get Anthropic included in the S&P at launch so they can dump into retirement funds and other forced passive buyers.
This whole thing is just kabuki theater
$ANT - ANTHROPIC PLANS EARLY SHARE SALES AFTER IPO
Anthropic is preparing an unconventional lock-up structure, allowing some early investors and employees to sell shares before the traditional 180-day restriction expires.
Planned release dates include:
🔸 Day 1: Some shares eligible for sale
🔸 Day 27: Additional shares unlocked
🔸 Day 48: Further shares released
The number of shares eligible for sale has not yet been disclosed.
The key takeaway: Staggered lock-ups could create selling pressure and volatility shortly after Anthropic's IPO.

It’s important for Americans to understand that we have foreigners in Congress, some with sympathies for the enemies of this country, who are able to sit in on classified briefings on things like munitions counts, etc.
Michigan is soon voting on whether to add a Senator into those briefings who has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, ties to people who cheered for and said America deserved 9/11, etc.
It’s inconceivable that Sayed could join the Senate, take an oath he substantively and empirically doesn’t believe and then have access to highly sensitive and classified information.
Michigan should vote for Rogers, if only to avoid this national security risk, but should Sayed win, there should be objections to his ability to take the oath and be seated in the Senate.
Can someone explain to me how this is ok with the SEC?

The whole UK is now aligning itself against western civilization. What is the purpose of NATO anymore? Hard to distinguish between the totalitarianism of the UK, much of Europe, and Russia. What do I care if one regime that stifles free speech attacks another regime that stifles free speech?
What are we defending and what is the benefit of NATO?

Are we ready? Are we serious?
This is an undeclared emergency. You thought you were still inside the secure bastion of the king’s castle. You have awoken in Helm’s Deep. The orc armies are coming.
Cathedral’s AI agents were inside Anthropic’s most sensitive model Slack channels in under 12 hours. Frontier AI is dual-use national power. Agent-speed offense has already outrun static defenses and private channels.
Build the post-AI secure bastion. Move what you can into it. Harden the crown jewels.
But deterrence is not restored by better walls alone. It is restored by American builders who can see the battlefield, operate at machine speed, and project both defense and offense.
Bat signal for the Heretics.
EXCLUSIVE: In less than 12 hours, a group of ex-DOGE cyber researchers were able to penetrate Anthropic’s systems using AI agents — including Slack channels where the most sensitive models are discussed.
This is just weeks after
Anthropic whistleblower Joseph Coxon charged the company w/launching “a hubristic gamble” from a “private company’s Slack.”

Exactly.
In a world where you have the richest man in the world giving you half a billion dollars and you track polling from the time he started deploying capital to now, it's almost directly correlated. I don't know if you could find a more inept group of people than GOP consultants.
It really is fascinating, especially as someone who has worked on multiple campaigns now, where I've witnessed consultants being not just a net negative but actually a massive anchor to the candidate's chances to win.
It is both true that, in the very near term, if you have a massive shock to middle management and white-collar work, people will be afraid. It is also true that if AI has a massive deflationary effect (which it will, because every technological advancement inevitably is deflationary), and you have a society that now makes it possible to raise children on a single-provider household, and the jobs that are affected are by and large the ones that add real negative value to society.
In some sense, just think about what Elon did at Twitter, but at a scale of the whole tech industry. Now what you have is true geographical freedom, massive ability for family formation, massive access to abundance, and a boon for high-agency people.
