I've got three @seeedstudio @huggingface B601 arms training VLA models with an unsupervised task of picking up 96-well plates from a holder and placing them in random locations on a table, then reversing the process. One is using Gemini, the second Claude and the third Astra.
So far Gemini is actually doing best, beating Claude. Astra started strong but then got very conservative in robot motion and speed after some failures and is now being a big baby about safety

🤖👀 AI coding agents are starting to cross the boundary from writing software to interacting with the physical world.
Really enjoyed seeing Jim from @Jetsonhacks put this to the test using an @NVIDIARobotics Jetson Orin NX + @ConnectTechInc + @RealSenseai depth camera.
What I find exciting is that an AI agent can increasingly help build and debug applications that don’t just process data — they see the real world, understand depth and spatial information, and ultimately can connect that perception to robotic actions.
We’re moving toward a world where you can tell an AI agent what you want a robot or vision system to do, and the agent helps build, test and iterate on the perception stack running on the actual edge hardware.
There’s still plenty of human intervention required today — and Jim does a great job showing that reality — but the direction is incredibly exciting.
AI agents + Edge AI + 3D perception = a pretty interesting future for Physical AI. 🚀
