Going to Disney Thursday and I usually delete X for the duration of my trip. Despite elections and a pending jets debacle i will likely keep that tradition. I'm not betting a lot on the elections this year because coinbase is making it near impossible to fund my @BetOnline_ag account and i dont trust Kalshi. Regardless here's my primer from someone who consistently wins:
- the number one rule is completely ignore the polls. especially in 2026 this is all betting market manipulation.
- top of the ticket should matter. it didnt matter much in 2024, but it mattered a ton in 2022. (this should help D House candidates in PA and Iowa)
- Candidate quality matters to the degree the state is flippable. On a baseline, Michigan is more flippable than Texas and they have a historically bad candidate.
- always know who is counting the votes.

Out of a list of 12 values, Republicans put "patriotism" #1, for Dems it ranks dead last - by a lot.
Dems say "equality" is most needed, Republicans rank it 11th out of 12.

Jets bright side: if we beat Vegas at home then maybe, after getting throttled by kc and bills we beat Miami and LA and enter bye at 5-7. We use bye to beat a then injured broncos team and win at Arizona and get to 7-7 before falling off.
Jets down side. We lose to Vegas and get throttled by kc and bills. At 2-8 we may steal one of two games vs La and Miami. Entering bye at 3-9 there are whole sale changes and we probably finish 4-13 or 5-12 if bills rest starters week 18.
