Teamsters from across North America gathered in San Antonio, Texas, for day one of the Teamsters Warehouse Division Conference. Attendees heard from Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien, General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman, and Warehouse Division Director Tom Erickson about the union’s continued fight to build power across the warehouse industry.
Throughout the first day, Warehouse Teamsters discussed legal strategies and participated in panel discussions focused on coordinated bargaining and strategic organizing to take on some of the largest and most profitable corporations in North America.
“Warehouse Teamsters keep this country moving. Our nation’s supply chain does not move without you, and you make piles of money for some very rich companies,” O’Brien said. “These are some of the biggest companies in America. But there’s one thing they all have in common. They don’t make a dime without our members.”

Across the country, Teamsters are taking those lessons from the workplace into their communities, running for everything from school boards and county councils to state legislatures and courthouses: justcauseteamsters.substack.…

Nearly 750 public sector workers in the city and county of Denver have joined the Teamsters.
A group of 67 workers in the Audit Services Department and Clerk and Recorders Office have joined Teamsters Local 455, and 682 workers in the Crime Lab and Department of Transportation and Infrastructure have joined Teamsters Local 17.
These organizing victories come on the heels of an over 20-year battle to get collective bargaining rights for these hardworking city and county workers. For public sector workers in Denver to have the right to organize a union, a change to the city’s charter was needed. In November 2024, voters overwhelmingly supported the ballot measure allowing these workers to form a union.

The Union Pacific/Norfolk Southern mega rail merger would drive up costs and make bills higher for Americans.

Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman spoke this morning alongside Local 391 President Rick Armstrong at the local’s stewards seminar. Teamsters Local 391 proudly represents thousands of workers in North Carolina across many diverse industries.
O'Brien and Zuckerman were joined by North Carolina's Labor Commissioner Luke Farley, as well as Roy Cooper — a relentless fighter for the American worker and the Teamsters-backed candidate for U.S. Senate in North Carolina. Together, they discussed Local 391’s recent achievements and strategies to build upon these successes in the future.
“The Teamsters Union would not run without the courage and commitment of stewards like you. Your militancy has been instrumental to all the gains we’ve made in recent years. That includes organizing 100,000 new members, launching over 350 strikes, and winning record contracts for hundreds of thousands of workers,” O’Brien said. “We’re setting our sights higher than ever. To meet our goals, we need pro-union leaders like Governor Roy Cooper fighting for us in the halls of power. And with your engagement and energy, we are going to send Governor Cooper to the Senate in November.”
