On this tragic anniversary, this is worth a listen for the hilarious brilliance of the toast and the absolute heartbreak of the final image of Frank and his wife toasting to a marriage that would last less then four years because of the 9/11 terrorist attack.
It’s now been 25 years since I last spoke with Frank Doyle (1/28/62 - 9/11/01). His sister, Lynn, sent me this video this morning of my best-man toast at his wedding. I had never seen it before, it brought back great memories and I am prouder of this toast than of any closing argument I have ever done.
Four years after this joyous event he would be gone, on one of the worst days of my (and this nation’s) life. But Frank is not and never will be forgotten. 🙏
With the 25th anniversary of 9/11 coming on Friday, I revisited the chaos then unity of that horrific day in in the nation's capital, through the eyes of people who experienced it. bostonglobe.com/2026/09/09/n…

Richie Neal thinks his primary this year is such a non-event that he has never publicly uttered the name of his opponent, @jeromiewhalen , and only vaguely referred to him in an interview with me — dismissing Whalen's omnipresent social media posts.
“I think that if one dresses up as a leprechaun, or dresses up as, uh, let’s see, Uncle Sam, you’re trying to create a sensation on social media and that is something that’s generally not gonna get you elected to Congress,” he said.

The stage was all set in the Capitol for Trump to sign major housing affordability legislation. Then he abruptly pulled the plug. But they still haven't packed up the set, indicating there might be hope for another change of mind.

Hey @Delta, why would you make my wife check her very small roller bag on Flight 5767 when there was plenty of overhead space on the plane? You probably just lot a couple future customers.
