I am disappointed he was not re-elected. He is one of the nicest guys in politics.
Niagara Falls, I’m so grateful for the last 16 years. Being your mayor has been the honour of my life.
From my family to yours, thank you for your support, friendship & kindness. It means more than words can say.
We’ve taken a couple of days to give our new mayor her moment in the spotlight, and for us, to enjoy some time together as a family. Best wishes to Mayor-Elect Lococo.
@NiagaraFalls will always have my heart. ♥️
Running a positive campaign may be ideal in theory but impossible when you are an unpopular incumbent running against a popular opponent. Sim had high teens approval rate, the ABC campaign was actually really good and got the best possible result for the circumstances. #vanpoli
Defeated ABC Councillor @sarahkirby_yung is quite right. @KenSimCity and ABC's campaign was far too negative. "I think leading with positivity is really important. I think that's what people are looking for, not more division." Said she was not part of campaign decisions. #bcpoli
Proud of the whole team and some of these big wins, particularly Oakville, Hamilton, and Milton, also glad to be done a long six months and hoping for a relatively light November! #hamont #onpoli
This is really concerning as someone who has four train trips coming up in Spain in the next four weeks....
A few months ago I heard that @AndreaHorwath had brought in national NDP people to save her campaign. I guess it was the @theJagmeetSingh team. #hamont

Extremely happy this morning to see positive change coming to #Oakville ! Congratulations to Mayor Jeff Knoll! @JeffKnollOak Its morning again in Oakville to borrow a phrase.
This is not how you want to close a campaign....
BREAKING: Bonnie Crombie is apologizing for suggesting to @readpolicorner that the Liberal label “wasn’t a good fit” for her.
“My wording was imprecise, and I’m so sorry for the confusion I caused” she says in a statement, with half an hour left to vote.
Full statement:
From 2020 to 2026 the BC NDP went from 13/17 of seats in Richmond/Delta/Surrey/Langley to 0/19. Thats a huge realignment and represents the majority of the change that happened in that period. If the NDP can't compete south of the Fraser River they may as well give up. #bcpoli
Why did @Dallas_Brodie decide to stay in Vancouver Quilchena where she is currently running fifth? Has to be one of the least hospitable conservative ridings in the province for her brand of politics.
Congratulations to @Conservative_BC on running an excellent campaign particularly given the circumstances and also lol at @Dave_Eby for the hilarious fuck up of the decade. Sometimes being cynical really bites you in the ass. #bcpoli #BC26
The strategic decision here seems to be that Israel doesn't care about support from the West in general as long as they have a good relationship with Donald Trump personally. That seems incredibly shortsighted.
Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered Israel to support Argentina over the Falklands, The Telegraph can reveal.
The Israeli prime minister told diplomats to change his country’s official position and join Buenos Aires in calling for direct talks over the future of the islands.

Because the self-determination of a settler population, even after nearly 200 years, counts for nothing? Is this really where Israel wants to go?

Distancing yourself from the leader the day before election day is a tactic that almost never works and usually makes things worse but it happens again and again. #bcpoli
The BC NDP is bigger than one person. It’s a team that believes that access to healthcare shouldn’t depend on your ability to pay; that kids should have quality education; that every worker deserves safe work and fair compensation; and that...

This is an interesting comms product because normally these are done to show certain parties can't win so their supporters should vote strategically, but do they imagine NDP and Green supporters will vote OneBC to stop the Conservatives? Seems unlikely! What is the goal?
