Can a president realistically run Nigeria without politicians in his cabinet?
@SheriffQuadry Quadry puts this question to @jimidisu on Dailies Today, following PRP presidential candidate Donald Duke's statement that he may appoint no politicians to his cabinet if elected in 2027.
Do you think a cabinet without politicians could work in Nigeria?

I was on @ARISEtv last night with @charlesaniagolu, discussing the economy, the upcoming elections, opposition parties, opinion polls and the President’s fluctuating approval rating.
We also touched on the poverty disparities across Nigeria’s geographical zones and why @inecnigeria must work harder to earn public trust. Watch the full interview here: youtu.be/d0mILcWydDQ?si=g1Zc…

Road To Election 2027 with Prince Adebayo Adewole, Friday, 30/10/2026 youtube.com/live/O3V2cQei9t8… via @YouTube
A quick reminder that the governor of Edo State promised Tinubu 2.5 million votes in the 2027 general elections. When politicians can open their mouths and make such outrageous promises, it raises serious questions about their intentions.
😂😂😂😂
#Breaking: Justice Obiora Egwuatu of @FederalHigh has today ordered the governor of Imo State, @Govhopeuzodinma to immediately stop presenting himself as the candidate of @OfficialAPCNg for the Imo West Senatorial election slated for January 16, 2027.
Justice Egwuatu issued the order after holding that Uzodinma did not win the May 18 primary election conducted by the #APC & monitored by @inecnigeria .
Delivering judgment, the Judge held that the evidence presented before the court proved that former governor Rochas @OWELLEROCHAS actually won the majority of the votes cast at the poll & should be declared the winner of the election.
Why does this feel like #ProxyWar between #RainbowCoalition vs. @OfficialAPCNg Governors?

Tinubu’s media campaign: Kaduna photo lies!
SPOT THE DIFFERENCE!
Two photos. One Kaduna rally or two different moments being presented as the same reality?
Look closely. Kaduna deserves facts, not photo games!

•What he says now:
In his appearances on Arise News, he insists that the Federal Government has not awarded any contract valued at ₦15 trillion. Because the 700+ km highway is being designed and procured in phases (such as Section 1 from Victoria Island to Eleko for ₦1.06 trillion), he argues there is no official, single master bill of engineering for the entire stretch yet. [1, 2, 3]
•What he said on Channels TV: When he originally mentioned the ₦15.3 trillion sum, he explicitly qualified it as a "tentative figure." He arrived at it live on air by multiplying the early cost-per-kilometer projection (roughly ₦4.5 billion to ₦7.5 billion per km depending on lanes) across the estimated full length of the road. I held my speculations on the fact the Ebola breakout news until I saw the next chessmove from Tinubu.
You ask your Chief of Staff with background in law to lead "Ebola Task Force"?
This is too glaring a ploy to siphon more money ahead of the January elections.

Good morning concerned citizens.
See where your subsidy money has gone to. BMW, Range Rover, GMC, ACURA all as campaign vehicles. I have never seen such, we spend money like we are Arabs.
Meanwhile the UN just confirmed that 17.9m Nigerians have fallen into dimensional poverty under this administration, this is the highest increase in the whole world.
If we don’t send these people out of government, wallahi we won’t have a country again.

Wow
During my interview with Alwan Hassan, APC Presidential Campaign Council spokesman, on Arise TV’s Prime Time, he alleged that “a lot of ministers pay billions and billions” to secure appointments, and then enter office thinking about how to recover their money.
I pressed him on the issue and reminded him that these are ministers that have been put there by the APC.
He said the practice predates the APC. That makes the allegation even more serious.
Who allegedly collects these billions? Who pays? Who is selling public appointments? And are Nigerians ultimately made to pay for it through corruption?
If these claims are true, they demand a credible investigation. If not, Mr Hassan owes Nigerians a clear explanation.
Who are the alleged beneficiaries, and will anyone be held accountable?
Public office is a public trust, not a private investment to be recouped at taxpayers’ expense.
