Do you know what ₦1 billion spent on SUVs by an APC fellow could do for grassroots football development in Nigeria? In 2027 vote for passionate leaders who genuinely want to see your children succeed in life.

Nigerian soldiers are being paid peanuts as salaries, yet an APC youth leader is flaunting SUVs worth billions of naira. This is the same government that told Nigerians there was no longer money in the treasury. At this point, they must think we are fools!

Each of the SUVs in this video costs more than ₦100 million. I wonder how many world-class ambulances the millions being spent on these vehicles could buy. What a pity! xitter.cf/dayoisrael/status/2114…

It pains my heart to see young people shed tears over the sad state of Nigeria. Do not lose hope, at the end of the day, power lies with the people.

The crisis at Manchester United today did not start with the manager, Carrick. At the end of the day, it all boils down to the big dogs at the top of the club’s affairs. At some point in history, we had a similar Manchester United saga in Nigeria’s sports sector.

Nigeria does not have a shortage of intelligent people. We have a problem recognising and rewarding them. Too often, the person who has occupied an office the longest is treated as more deserving than the person who can do the job better. How long will we keep sacrificing progress on the altar of seniority?

INEC, if you want Nigerians to trust the process, make every stage open to independent scrutiny.

This is 2026 for crying out loud, how do they even feel comfortable doing this in the faces of people battling with poor electricity? What a pity.

A day will come when the future of Nigerians in this sector will no longer be dictated by politicians who subscribe to the philosophy of “bread, corn, rice, and ₦1,000” but by politicians who are eager to see things work for the good of the people.

We have seen videos of APC politicians trying to intimidate Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections. Nigerians need to understand that these fellows are powerless when we stand united. Do not allow them to sow seeds of fear in you. Come out, vote, and defend your votes.

Yesterday, we talked about the poor living and working conditions of Nigerian soldiers compared to their counterparts in the US, and how senators are fattening their pockets with billions of naira while the soldiers who risk their lives every day to protect us are underpaid heavily. Then, some fellows benefiting from stomach infrastructure began to bash us. I took a quick look at their profiles, and it became obvious to me that they were APC data boys trolling anyone who dared to speak up. Engaging with any of them is an insult to my integrity.

The Big Tent, determined that rational public conversation will shape how Nigerians will make the choice of who will lead them, has for months been engaged in developing a Manifesto for Nigeria. The plan is to share this with candidates it has identified as having the capacity, character and rigorous discipline of implementation. I have already sat down with some candidates to do that. The manifesto is accompanied by a road map, a check list of values that advance the fidelity of implementation, and a citizen socialization pain points catalog for dialogue. From tomorrow we will begin the marketplace of ideas agenda setting to which we invite candidates we have had dialogue and congruence on policy thrust to join in agenda setting. Among the issues on the menu are education and health care which we consider key to growth and development, Agriculture which will assure food security and the powering of value chains of production; power, making petrol affordable without the corruption consequences of subsidy, and manufacturing driven job creation based on factor endowments in the six geo-economic zones of Nigeria. There is of course the big elephant in the room which has made Nigeria the poverty capital of the world, weakened our ability to fight insecurity and damaged our institutions such as the judiciary. As frightening a pain point as corruption is how drugs are ruining the future of our children, inflicting pain into many families and fueling crime just fake drugs are killing many vulnerable. To each of these pain points we have crafted effective implementation grade plans that are budgeting process ready. Our disagreement with extant tax reforms opting for supply side view of the place of taxation in development and also features in our dislike of tax, borrow and spend profligacy of the current federal government

Are people aware that the APC has been in power for over 11 years? The fact that Tinubu can make statements like this says a lot about how the government views the suffering of ordinary Nigerians.

Somewhere in Nigeria today, a gifted young footballer is playing on a poor pitch, wearing worn-out boots and hoping someone will discover him. Meanwhile, our country has a rich history of producing world champions. How many future stars are we losing because we have failed to build a proper grassroots system in Nigeria?

A country where mediocrity is rewarded with political appointments should not be surprised when excellence becomes increasingly difficult to find in such government.
