Great time out at the Moto GP on Phillip Island - for the last time. Was nice to meet Diogo Moreira, Johann Zarco, and Aussie Jackie Miller. Thanks to everyone who braved the rain and rocked out with us the whole show.
Now this is treasure. A couple of cases of unwaxed apples straight from Batlow. Crunchy, tasty, smell like apples⦠these are the real deal, like the good old days ššš
Thank you David Purcell
A fresh NiƧoise salad on a fresh spring day. Itās great to be home by the river. The garden is lush and breathtaking, such a calming place for us to recharge.

Tonight itās a Scottish dinner. I call it Mince & Tatties, some call this Savoury Mince. You can tell which parts of the meal are cooked by me. No matter what, itās a favourite of the Scots in this family.
We loved playing āParadiseā last summer. should I keep it on the setlist? Getting ready for Sounds Of Rock in Townsville next Saturday.

So proud of my granddaughter Ruby Rodgers, who opened for Missy Higgins tonight at Fleet Steps on Sydney Harbour. What a backdrop.
Today Iām sharing a tribute to my dear friend Angry Anderson - my take on Rose Tattooās āRock ānā Roll Is Kingā, with all proceeds from the track to be donated to @supportact, who do such important work in helping all music workers in times of need. Listen to it now, here: jimmybarnes.lnk.to/rocknrollā¦
Throughout our early careers Rose Tattoo and Cold Chiselās paths crossed a hell of a lot. We travelled the same country, playing the same gigs, on the same endless tours that took us to every single bar that would let a Rockānāroll band play their music LOUD.
Friendships were made and friendships were lost. Lots of us never made it through but Angry and I always seemed to remain standing. He was my friend; my brother in arms. We laughed a lot, talking about taking the rock establishment by the throat and shaking it as hard as we could, in an endless struggle to get the best out of it. Like all mates we saw the world differently at times, but one thing mattered more than all that: we liked the same music; music that came from the heart. We liked music with substance, music with backbone, music that moved our souls.
Rose Tattoo were the ultimate rock band. They showed those so-called hard rock bands overseas how it was REALLY done. There were always some killer musoās in their lineup from Ian Rilen, Pete Wells and Digger Royal in the early days, right up until recent years when my son Jackie joined them on drums for a few years. But out front was always Angry, driving the band harder. Faster. Harder. Faster. If there was ever anyone who deserved to be called a rockānāroll singer, it was him.
I spoke to Angry about covering that song for my last album and he was excited. We cut it but it didnāt make the record for some reason even though I love the recording. I couldnāt wait to sit down with Angry and play it to him because the song takes on a whole new meaning for me now, looking back through all those years and all those gigs.
I hope you like it. Turn it up fucking LOUD. Angryās gone to the Big Gig upstairs but I bet heāll be listening.
Itās great to see Australia playing Brazil on their home turf. A great experience for players and football fans alike. Go the @Socceroos
If youāre wondering about the bandages on my nose, they are there because my doctor wanted to make sure a new spot on my face was nothing sinister. Iām happy to say the tests came back cancer clear. Make sure you #getaskincheck regularly.. better to be safe than sorry.
The @NRLKnights fought a heroic battle to get the win over the @PenrithPanthers today. What a great game.
Looking forward to the @NRL Grand Final next week, although itāll be a little strange not seeing Nathan Cleary out there playing in a final.
All the best with your recovery, mate - from the Barnes clan.
The weather has been perfect for dinners on the verandah. Rain coming tomorrow and we need it. This is our view tonight, and enjoyed a roast rack of lamb. Congratulations to the @brisbanelions. It looked like the Dockers had it.. what an incredible Grand final, a tough contest to the end.
