To avoid death, clamp to 1) prevent blood loss 2) prevent gas going in (which may cause air embolus and death). Call cardiothoracics. But as with much of medicine, prevention is better than cure

It's not only pay. We need to improve: - Training - Working conditions (yes they work fewer hours than in 1980s, but nuts in a different way) - Student debt - Well being Leaders/politicians need to make the right choice now to future proof the UK healthcare

I support the nurses #NHSStrike. 1) Pay must be fairer to retain staff 2) Retained staff = better, more consistent PT care 2) Retained staff = less reliance on agency staff 3) Agency fees massively increases NHS costs. Overall increase nursing pay can save NHS money THE END
