Are we deadass?? Please stop. Lmaooo This fuckass mindset is exactly why people are NOT commissioning artists AS IS! As an artist, its YOUR FUCKING JOB to make a piece someoke has paid for. If you have it in your TOS that deadlines are typically a month, you better have that shit READY in a fucking month or COMMUNICATE to the client that there is a delay. Don't have these people wait 8 fucking months for an art because your bitch ass is too lazy and your business etiquette is TRASH!! For those of you looking for artists, find the ones that DO have a deadline so that way you can reach out when the deadline is near and get updates. If that artist informed you they are backed up with comms and won't start yours until 2 months later, thats fine, but don't have these mfs take your cash and dip like that without explaining jack shit. "Hehe its been a whole year but I PROMISE im gonna get your sketch :3" Nah. Absolutely fucking not. Artists ARE ABLE to have free time from their work, but being this irresponsible? Turn in your badge, bro. You making us all look like shit.
