France and several other European countries are struggling with high public debt, persistent budget deficits, rising borrowing costs, and growing social tensions. The recent student protests in France, which have spread to other European countries, began with concerns about education funding, school conditions, and the cost of living. These concerns deserve attention. However, we must also understand the deeper economic pressures facing governments. When a country carries enormous debt, the government cannot simply spend more money indefinitely without considering how that spending will be financed. Interest payments consume public resources that could otherwise support education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social services. France's borrowing costs have risen sharply, with its 10-year government bond yield exceeding 5% in October 2026. Its fiscal challenges have become more difficult amid political divisions and delays in passing the national budget. This is precisely when a nation needs unity, clear thinking, and responsible action—not escalating conflict that makes an already difficult situation worse. 1. Protest Alone Cannot Solve a Debt Crisis When governments face financial pressure, difficult decisions must be made. Pension reform, public spending, taxation, employment, and economic growth are all interconnected. France has struggled to advance pension reform, including the proposal to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64. Such changes are controversial because they affect people's lives. Nevertheless, when populations age and the number of retirees grows relative to the working population, pension systems face increasing pressure. We must recognize a fundamental economic reality: a country cannot permanently solve its financial problems simply by demanding more spending while ignoring its ability to generate revenue. Violence, destruction, prolonged political paralysis, and declining investor confidence can make recovery more difficult. When investors demand higher interest rates to lend to a government, the cost of servicing public debt rises, placing even greater pressure on public finances. The answer is not to ignore people's concerns. It is to address those concerns while confronting the country's economic reality honestly and responsibly. 2. Learn from South Korea: Turn Crisis into Collective Action When I traveled to South Korea, my tour guide told me about the Korean people's response to the 1997 Asian financial crisis. During that difficult period, millions of Koreans voluntarily contributed their gold jewelry—including wedding rings and other treasured possessions—to help the country address its foreign debt and currency crisis. This became known as the national gold-collection campaign. It demonstrated the extraordinary power of collective responsibility. The campaign alone did not resolve the crisis. South Korea also undertook major financial and corporate restructuring and worked to restore international confidence. Yet the people's willingness to act together remains a powerful lesson for the world. When a nation faces a serious crisis, its citizens must understand the situation, work together, and contribute to economic recovery in practical ways. We should learn from this spirit: instead of allowing disagreements to divide society further, people can unite to improve productivity, strengthen businesses, create employment, develop new industries, and build a stronger economic future. 3. The World Needs a New Financial Paradigm The challenges facing France are not unique. Many countries are dealing with high debt, rising living costs, economic uncertainty, and pressure on public finances. These problems invite us to think beyond conventional approaches and explore new ways to create economic value, expand participation, and strengthen cooperation. The universe reflects the energy you connect with, and that energy is determined by who you are as a person, not what you want to receive. When you have an abundant heart, a heart that is willing to give, help others, and treat people with kindness, you are cultivating the inner qualities of a truly wealthy person. When your heart and your actions reflect these qualities, you can attract and create genuine wealth. True wealth is not money that simply passes through your hands and then disappears. You may acquire money through deception, but that comes at the cost of creating negative karma. Money obtained by deceiving others does not represent genuine wealth. If you constantly think, “I hope I can become rich,” “I hope other people will give me money,” or even think about how to cheat others out of their money, you cannot attain true wealth through that mindset. Such thinking can cause you to lose the wealth you already have, damage your health, and diminish your good fortune. Stop focusing on what you want to receive. Focus on who you are and what kind of person you are becoming. OFFICIAL WARNING TO ALL PI PIONEERS Stop Spreading the False “Pi Purity Account” "Duel-Value " Claims! I want to make my position absolutely clear regarding the misleading claim that buying Pi from an exchange and transferring it to your own Pi wallet will cause your account to be labeled “impure” and may even result in your account being banned. This claim is creating unnecessary fear among pioneers and discouraging people from purchasing Pi through exchanges. Many pioneers who are unfamiliar with blockchain technology have believed this claim to be true. As a result, they are afraid to buy Pi from exchanges because they worry that their accounts will be flagged or banned. Let me share my own experience. I have personally purchased Pi several times through exchanges and transferred it to my own wallet, where I subsequently locked up my Pi. I am certainly not the only one. Many other pioneers have done the same. So, where is the evidence that purchasing Pi from an exchange automatically makes your wallet “impure” or puts your account at risk of being banned? Do not confuse self-written code with official Pi Network rules! Anyone can write or modify a piece of code. With today's AI tools, including ChatGPT, generating sample code is easier than ever. Someone can create a field called “isPurePiHolder” or write code that appears to track a so-called “Pi purity badge.” But simply writing such code does not mean that Pi Network has adopted it, implemented it on the blockchain, or authorized anyone to use it to classify pioneers' accounts. Technical rules concerning Pi Network must come from official Pi Network sources—not from unverified code, screenshots, or claims made by individuals. I strongly urge all pioneers to study carefully, think independently, and verify information before accepting it as fact. Do not blindly follow what others say. Do not allow fear and misinformation to dictate your decisions. Ask yourself: Does this claim have an official source? Is there verifiable technical evidence? Has Pi Network officially announced such a rule? If not, do not treat it as an established fact! 🪷 Doris Yin Message to My Students & Global Pioneers A Time of Retreat — Step Back, Be Still, Look Within Dear my students and dear Global Pioneers, Recently, some of you may be wondering why I have not been reading your messages, replying to you, or continuing to write articles as I used to. I want to explain why. I need to give myself a period of retreat. In Buddhist practice, retreat means temporarily reducing or stopping external distractions and information, becoming quiet, and turning our attention inward. It is not escaping responsibility, and it is not leaving anyone. It is a time to step back from the constant demands of the outside world, calm the mind, reflect within, and allow wisdom to arise. For almost five years, I have hardly had a real day of rest. Every day, I have been dealing with a huge amount of information—reading messages, replying to messages, writing articles, creating educational content, handling community matters, and also managing my own work and responsibilities. If I continue reading messages, replying to messages, and writing articles every day, I will remain in the same cycle. I am always helping others solve problems, but I have not had enough time to become quiet and improve myself. If we do not continue improving ourselves, how can we develop greater wisdom and ability to help others and lead others? Now, I have completed what I needed to do, and I have already assigned the necessary responsibilities. Now it is time for me to step back, become quiet, look within, and improve myself. For the next 3–7 days, I will truly give myself this quiet space: I will not read your messages. I will not reply to your messages. I will not write articles. I will not publish new educational content. I need to temporarily stop receiving information from the outside and stop constantly sending information outward. We must stand up and build our own future. One person's strength is limited. Today, among the 70 million Pioneers, many are still waiting — waiting for the price to rise, waiting for someone else to act, waiting for the Core Team, or even waiting for a “savior.” But the real change will not come from waiting. It will come when millions of Pioneers change their mindset and each contribute their own small effort. We have been on this journey for more than seven years. Do you still want to wait? Millions of Pioneers have supported Pi, while the Core Team has spent years building the technology, infrastructure, and ecosystem with enormous resources and effort. Now we must understand one fundamental principle: A currency does not automatically rise in value simply because people wait for its price to rise. A currency needs to be used, accepted, circulated, and supported by real economic activity. We have worked together to establish GCV — Global Consensus Value, creating a community-based value scale. Do not attack one another simply because we have different opinions. And never believe that one country or one community is more important than another. What we need is: Equality. Respect. Inclusion. Cooperation. When we truly respect every country, every community, and every Pioneer, we can bring the strength of more than 200 countries and regions together. So the mindset we need is: From waiting to action. From dependency to ownership. From division to inclusion and cooperation. From traditional price speculation to real currency and economic thinking. Do not wait for the price to rise by itself. We are building a currency that needs people to use it, accept it, circulate it, and build an economy around it.
