I will keep reporting about boxing for the Guardian but, when it comes to writing books about the fight business, I think I am done. It's finally over for me. I hate the business of boxing, but I still love boxing. The Last Bell is about this and much more

David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.
"Dizzying . . . akin to devouring a thriller. . . a moving portrait of life inside the housing system and the courage it takes to try to build a home in society’s cracks."
NESTING is finally out Jan 30th.

I am delighted to announce that the Rother Books Book of the Year for 2024 is The Sleepwalkers by @scarthomas This devilishly clever novel felt like on a modern take on Du Maurier and Highsmith and I absolutely loved it!
