2020, five years ago... Over 13,000 #keepyuppies for charity funding and awareness whilst living with #Parkinsons.. ⚽🚶🏻 (I only stopped when I was convinced I'd smashed the 10,000 target 🎯) #NeverGiveUp @ParkinsonsUK @CureParkinsonsT @WorldPDCongress @ParkinsonsEU @undefeatable #kickups #tekkers #football #walkingfootball @ParkinsonsPride @FightingFitFoo1
Replying to @GotNotGot
I was diagnosed with #Parkinsons in 2019, and a year later (in the first summer of the covid pandemic) I attempted to do 10,000 keepy-uppies without dropping the ball to raise funds for @ParkinsonsUK and @CureParkinsonsT I (voluntarily) stopped after 13,410 consecutive keepy-uppies (just over two hours) And much #Respect to my peers @cranch_andy whom has just completed his 1,000 keepy-uppies challenge at 92 #EFL clubs for @EACH_hospices and @svensaturday whom I know has completed over 1,000 days of consecutive keepy-uppies ⚽🚶‍♂️ #NeverGiveUp

One good thing today was to see the amount of fans who stayed at half time to give the lads of 85-87 a round of applause, nice big rob was included, it’s hard to comprehend how much the game has gone when you compare the blood and sweat that they left out on the pitch with the abject performance of today’s team. They were a very small squad but they gave everything and were proud to represent the club, remember they brought us from the the the third tier to the top tier, they grew as a team and ran through walls for their manager. Well done lads and thank you for the memories. @dcfcofficial #dcfcfans @JohnGregory77 @jeffgchandler

Would you rather your life be hard or w/out purpose? If you have Parkinson’s, it will already be hard. Might as well pick purposeful. When your time is up, you will have not only left the world a better place, but also a blueprint.

Utmost #respect to @kabugo_tamale, yourself and all the great class participants Gavin 💃🏿🕺🏾💃🏿🕺🏿 @adpforg @trapcaf_project @AfricaParkinson @ParkinsonAfrica #Uganda #Africa #Parkinsons @WorldPDCongress @AkinolaJohn20 @omotolathomas8
These are people with Parkinson’s, perhaps other conditions, together in a dance class in Uganda. It’s likely the only treatment most receive. It’s an 8-hr round trip for Hannington, not inc. picking participants up. This is why I’m all-in on the Uganda Parkinson’s scene. 🥲

I’ve seen alarming poverty, alarming kindness, and alarming cases of Parkinson’s here in Uganda. But like anything, you do it better with enjoyment.

Let me say this very directly. Football does not belong to investors. It belongs to the people who fill the stands and who stand on the touchline week in, week out, rain or shine. The World Cup is not a product. It is the greatest competition in world sport, and it was never anyone's to sell. Dress the deal up however you like. Once you have sold a piece of it, you have sold out. Football belongs to the fans. It always has, and it always will.

From a Sunderland fan: to hell with the Wear/Tyne rivalry on this occasion. This is utterly fucking beautiful and a very moving and powerful tribute to a true great. ❤️

This new week, choose connection. 💙 For people living with Parkinson's, social connections and support groups offer encouragement, understanding, and a reminder that no one has to face the journey alone. #ParkinsonsAfrica #SupportGroups #SocialConnection #StrongerTogether

"Fifa - the sport's global governing body - said it intends to expand "football development funding" to more than $10bn (£7.5bn) and invite third-party investment in a new venture. The story was first reported in the Financial Times and the Times, with the latter claiming the plans could potentially earn Fifa president Gianni Infantino tens of millions of pounds" In my personal opinion, #Infantino is a horrible, immoral charlatan, a grifter who'll do anything to get money and power for himself most of all. His shameless corruption of the rules for his own benefit, his abusive money- making from the fantastic fans of so many great countries, and his sycophantic behaviour towards #Trump around the #WorldCup were terrible... There are too many people like this in the world already.. I hope people that are in positions to stop his megalomania will indeed act strongly before it truly goes too far and destroys the world's love for watching the 'beautiful game' ⚽ #FIFA #UEFA #Football

We’re feeling inspired by the 2026 World Cup. ⚽ Since his diagnosis in 2019, Joe has found a whole world of activity and friendship through walking football. “I have made so many new friendships across the country, continent and world."
