so @united heading from DFW to ORD and then on.
5 min before boarding you dalay flight bc APU is broken. Mind you the plane
Had landed an hour before. Then you pull up an AC unit on ground, which turns out to also be broken.
So… we are delayed bc you cant and wont do proper maintenance on ground or on flights.
We MIGHT be using one of the planes that were going to sit overnight in DFW.
I will miss connection in ORD.
Why is your COO employed? For two yeara your service is degrading, but nothing changes in the c-suite, with your quality, or your maintenance.
It is frustrating.
And you can look up the flight to see which one it is.
Would love to know how many of the people that try to meet you in a sus manner are actually slaves.
X seems to have tonned that WAY down.
The haters on Elon… are cracking me up. Nothing new, nothing original, just talking points, by peeps in their mamma’s basement.
The Bible doesn’t have to use the word abortion to address it.
God made human beings in His image. He condemns the shedding of innocent human blood (Genesis 1:27; 9:6).
David describes God forming him in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13–16). He speaks with awe about how God made him. There is value there. There is purpose. And David says God was forming “me.” His existence didn’t begin at birth.
Luke calls John a baby while he is still in Elizabeth’s womb (Luke 1:41, 44).
So God creates human life in the womb, that life matters to Him, and He commands us to protect innocent human life. The unborn are included in that.
That is inference. It is drawing a conclusion from what Scripture actually teaches. The absence of one particular word does not erase the argument.
An awful lot of arguments against Christianity depend on adding something Scripture doesn’t say, leaving out something it does, or treating two different things as identical.
Then comes the confident declaration: “Contradiction!” “Checkmate!”
Before celebrating, check whether you’ve refuted the actual claim or just the version you invented.
A lot of catholics, Mormons, Muslims and atheists are all using this construct today. It is easy to spot, easy to defeat, and not intellectually honest, at all.
I’ve noticed a few recurring patterns in how LDS beliefs are defended here on X. Here are some thoughts on each.
• “Pray and ask God.” Yes, pray. But how do you distinguish an answer from God from your own conviction? Scripture tells us to test spiritual claims against the apostolic gospel.
• “We believe in Jesus too.” Then let’s define who Jesus is and what He accomplished. Shared words don’t necessarily mean shared beliefs.
• “The Bible has similar problems.” Apply a consistent standard to both. But pointing to a difficulty in the Bible doesn’t establish that Joseph Smith spoke for God.
• “How could Joseph have known that?” Examine the evidence. A literary pattern or possible historical correspondence needs to be weighed against the whole claim.
• “You have to understand the context.” Agreed. Now explain how that context supports the claim that God commanded it. How do we distinguish a prophet’s personal opinion from revelation before a teaching becomes controversial?
• “Look at our families and good works.” Those matter. But good conduct alone cannot establish that a revelation is true. Deuteronomy 13 requires fidelity to God even when a sign comes true.
• “You’re being contentious.” We should speak respectfully. We should also examine religious claims. Asking whether a teaching is true isn’t inherently uncharitable.
My standard is the Bible, and I’m explicit about that. Someone can challenge that authority, but appealing to Joseph Smith’s revelations to establish Joseph Smith’s authority doesn’t resolve our disagreement.
The questions remain: Who is God? Who is Jesus? What is the gospel? And do these teachings agree with what the apostles proclaimed?
Why do Mormonbs write imaginary debates where they control both sides, give the other person ridiculous answers, and then pat themselves on the back for winning? Who is that supposed to convince? If you want an honest discussion, address what people actually believe. Deception is not a way to win converts.
Why in the heck is my feed full of Tessus fans?
Racism is Repugnant. Tessus fans are close to repugnant too, just in a different way.
For the record I am not a sip, hate tu, and am a Buckeye today.
@OhioStateFB
Mormon theology has repeatedly changed as its claims have been challenged. Even Joseph Smith’s view of God changed. The 1830 Book of Mormon called Mary “the mother of God” and Jesus “the Eternal Father.” In 1837, Smith added “the Son of” to those passages. The Lectures on Faith described the Father as a spirit, but D&C later gave Him a physical body. Smith eventually taught that God was once a man and that men could become gods.
After Smith, Brigham Young taught the Adam-God doctrine, which the Church now rejects. Polygamy was introduced as a command from God and defended by prophets for decades, but was abandoned when federal pressure threatened the Church’s property and temples. The revelation commanding plural marriage remains in D&C 132, but practicing it today will get you excommunicated.
The same thing happened with race. Joseph Smith ordained Black men. Brigham Young stopped it, and later prophets defended the restriction using supposed doctrines about Cain, Ham and choices made before birth. In 1978, another revelation reversed the restriction. The Church now disavows the explanations previously taught by its own prophets.
Then there are the historical claims. When the Egyptian papyri were examined and did not contain the Book of Abraham, “translation” was redefined to include the papyri merely inspiring a revelation. When DNA evidence did not support the traditional claim about Native American ancestry, the Book of Mormon introduction changed the Lamanites from “the principal ancestors” to merely “among the ancestors” of American Indians. That is the real issue. If yesterday’s prophets taught things as revelation that today’s prophets reject, redefine or quietly abandon, why should anyone trust what today’s prophet says?
So we have a Democratic candidate for Governor, a Democratic Senator and many others lying about an incident Saturday at a fair where said Democratic Candidate claimed there was an assassination attempt against he, except there wasn’t, it was just a lie.
Oh the drama…
So now we change gates in a new concourse. Told the flight leaves at 6:30. Now remember we were told that we would not get an update until 6:30. But no, we get an update at 5:50. Fight leaves at 6:30 from new gate. So everyone hurries over but ooopppss flight doesn’t leave until 7:15. Lie after lie after lie. Or is it incompetence? Would you rather have your airline lie to you (they factually did earlier) or be incompetent. Or both??
We shall see what happens next. Clown show.
