🚨 Control isn’t loud.
It’s subtle.
It’s automated.

Not many want to talk about this, but once you become conscious, life stops being fun and turns into a prison
Try listening to music
The lyrics are manipulation.
Try watching a movie.
Everything is propaganda.
Your brain instantly spots the hidden agenda of whoever paid for the story.
Try going out to an event and everyone around you is laughing at things that aren’t funny.
It’s like everyone is running the same programming.
It’s a performance of insecurity held together by dopamine and ignorant confidence.
Consciousness does not set you free.
It isolates you.
It disconnects you from the clown world everyone else is still pretending is normal.
I'm starting to suspect that a lot of the anti-AI people out there are closeted-AI users.
People who use AI in private, but don't want to admit it because they're afraid of the backlash.
So, they pretend to be anti-AI in public, then pay for a ChatGPT subscription.

If I were an AI billionaire, I’d secretly want everyone to hate AI.
Think about it.
If I knew AI was going to change the world, why would I want millions of people using it to compete with me?
I’d want the masses convinced that AI is dangerous, unethical, and something they should stay away from.
Meanwhile, I’d be using it to build an enormous advantage.
And when AI inevitably transforms society for the better, I’d emerge as the visionary who believed in it all along. The guy who saved humanity.
You don’t need to stop people from adopting AI forever. You just need them to adopt it later than you.
Just a thought experiment, but the incentives are fascinating.

Politics is noise when it comes to investing.
The stock market goes up under every President, because the government can’t stop printing money.
Is anyone actually stupid enough to sell $NVDA?
This selloff is an excellent time to buy and everyone should be excited about the opportunity to buy such a big company at such a good discount

This research compares later Greek, Latin, Arabic and Syriac copies to reconstruct what Josephus may have written around AD 93–94; it did not identify an account in a 2,000-year-old physical manuscript. joe.co.uk/news/ancient-j… wsjfreeexpression.substack.com/p/unlocking-th…

People will happily pay $8 for coffee every morning.
$1,200 for a new phone.
$200 for dinner.
But tell them to invest $500 a month?
“No. I can’t afford that.”
$500 a month invested for 20 years at a 10% annual return becomes roughly 400K.
But sure, tell me again how investing is only for rich people…

They say ‘money won’t solve all your problems’
Name one problem you have now that money won’t solve
It can solve literally every one of your problems right now
Don’t believe me? Ask yourself this:
Would one million right now make this problem harder or easier?

Given the amount of hard physical labor we do, especially an "influencer" like you, Matt, all of our ancestors would consider us soft-handed, soft-bodied wimps who accept handouts for doing literally nothing all day but type on the internet.
That covers programmers, software engineers, accountants, IT guys, influencers, video editors, etc.
All fat-bodied "jobs" that don't require an ounce of effort. We are soy boys compared to what our grandfathers did.
Can't see much difference between what you're doing now, i.e., what you're "earning" from X for shit-posting, vs what Rand's vision is.

Alcohol ranks highest for overall damage to the human body. Expert multi-criteria analyses consistently place it above tobacco, opioids, cannabis, and energy drinks due to its links to liver disease, cancers, heart damage, brain impairment, and high mortality across organ systems. Tobacco follows closely via cancer and respiratory harm; the others cause far less.

Your bank will never tell you this
But a 30 year mortgage takes:
23 years with one extra overpayment a year
16 years with two extra payments/year
10 years with three extra payments/year
But warning: use the term ‘capital overpayment’ so they don’t use your overpayment to cover interest & fees too
You can literally shave two thirds off your mortgage with smart money moves
