Tom and Jerry, live vocals… shot by Carlos Serrao Full clip is on YouTube now: youtu.be/_PWSiM3uUZA

“Tom and Jerry” was the name I used when saving my first voice memo with this song idea. “And if you ever come through, which I doubt you’ll do, I’ll run away with you.” From that moment on, the adventure began in bringing that feeling to life. I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating every time - I get to work with a group of incredibly talented and deeply dedicated artists who will stop at nothing until the sound comes into focus and becomes a picture. I can’t wait to tell you more about it, but first, it’s important that you know who contributed to this track. The song comes out this Friday, but you can hear it throughout the day tomorrow exclusively on @SIRIUSXM @lifewithjm .

I’ll run away with you… October 23

What a whirlwind the last two weeks have been. I got to play with @DerekAndSusan and @treyanastasio at @EricClapton 's @Crossroads2013 . I inducted my friend Paul Reed Smith of @prsguitars into @guitarcenter 's RockWalk. I celebrated @TheRealBuddyGuy 's 90th birthday with my extended musical family at @RadioCity . I announced @SphereVegas shows. I played a special one-off solo show in my home state of CT at @MoheganSun . I jammed with Dave Grohl for his @hopethemission charity event at Chaplin Recording Studio . And in one of the more thrilling opportunities I’ve ever been given, I backed up the legendary @Officialannielx along with my dear sweet friend Wendy Melvoin @WIGMusicRecords on “Sweet Dreams,” which I think is apropos given the wild ride I’ve just been on. I’m a lucky dude. More fun soon…

Thank you @SphereVegas for one more weekend in June. Hoping those left in line for tickets last week can get them for these shows. Johnmayer.com

Announcing this @SphereVegas run has been one of the best moments of my year so far. It makes real something I’ve been working on for several months, and the excitement around the reveal inspires me to go even deeper into creating this show over the months to come. It’s never lost on me that I get to work with the most talented people to make beautiful things for a living. I can’t wait for you to see and hear what I’m dreaming up.

Introducing the @prsguitars Silver Sky @Defender Color Collection: core models in four classic vintage Land Rover Defender colors, limited to 500 each. Four SE models in contemporary colors will be available for a limited time. This has been a dream of mine going back many years, since picking up my ‘97 Arles Blue D90 and envisioning a guitar in that color. Partnering with @Defender to make it an even more vivid reality has been one of my favorite projects in a long time. Head to prsguitars.com for more.
