The Drone Component Manufacturers Symposium 2026, jointly organised by the Indian Army and Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers at the Manekshaw Centre, brought together industry leaders, innovators and defence stakeholders to accelerate India’s journey toward a self-reliant drone ecosystem.
With a sharp focus on low-cost, field-manufactured combat drones, the symposium highlighted emerging operational needs, critical technology gaps, and opportunities across propulsion, sensors, avionics and payloads. The event also fostered meaningful collaborations for rapid prototyping and scalable indigenous solutions.
It was all about together, shaping the next generation of battlefield technologies.

No one from the #government really cares about the #drone #startup #entrepreneurs and they just quote #security concerns. They(#regulators) are paid to apply and use brains to save #economy. They have #failed if #startups have failed.

Another reason why #indiannavy #indianarmy #indianairforce must induct more #drones and #ucav and write off all vintage #fighters...
Bad news. An @IndianNavy MiG-29K trainer operating at sea ditched at about 1700 hrs on Nov 26. One pilot has been recovered and search by air and surface units is in progress for the second pilot.
An inquiry has been ordered to investigate the incident.
Am happy now that #OTTPlatforms may get regulated, some decency will come up. #Webseries actually are giving ideas to teenagers on the type of language use in real life. Not done.
Today we complete 6 years of our #journey from humble beginnings to where we are today. I wish to thank all our past & present #customers and #employees for making Johnnette grow year on year. Happy 6th #Anniversary Team Johnnette.
We are expanding.
