At Full Council this week, I challenged Milton Keynes City Council to do more to stand up for residents facing rising estate management fees. I called on the Council to write to them formally to demand greater transparency and accountability @mk_citizen @mkfm @MKConservatives

Spoke at Milton Keynes Full Council this week, including on concerns about management companies. Amused that Milton Keynes Labour Councillors voted on a motion to criticise their own government for abolishing NHS Healthwatch. @mk_citizen @mkfm @MKConservatives

Huge congratulations @Ameet_Jogia !
Honoured to be selected again for Hendon. Last time it came down to 15 votes. This time I'll earn every one of them, fighting for the families, businesses and neighbours who make this place home. Let's make Hendon blue again @conservatives.

I’m sadly not at Conservative Party Conference this year but I was pleased to do a spot with the BBC ahead of Kemi’s speech highlighting how our party is on the up! @Conservatives @BBCPolitics

🌍 After a late sitting - I am delighted that my motion at Milton Keynes City Council, with just minor amendments, has passed with cross party support, an important motion to get Milton Keynes business ready for Universal United Kingdom Resorts.

I remember doing the hustings on the 2019 election and it just descended into chaos as the crowd were packed with Labour supporters and they were just shouting at us. My parents also attended and were quite horrified!
On local election hustings, I always think of the late Rainbow George during his time standing in Hampstead and Kilburn and this video I took of him. Before the session, he asked everybody in the room whether there was anybody there who hadn’t already made up their minds about who they were going to vote for. Nobody really put their hands up. The idea of hustings is great. I try to go to as many as possible, and thank those who organise them. But there is a reality about how many truly undecided voters attend.

My condolences to Prime Minister Andy Burnham and all his family. No matter how old you are, or how much you try to prepare, losing your father is a profoundly painful experience. A part of your life that has always been there is suddenly gone forever and it can feel as though a part of you won’t ever be the same again. May Roy Burnham Rest In Peace.

Thank you for your service @MelJStride as our Shadow Chancellor. Mel doesn’t just get business but is also simply a really nice person to be around.

I will keep saying this. @RishiSunak was a very underrated prime minister.
A fair point by Anthony Seldon in the NS: “By the time Sunak became PM in October 2022, Labour was a full 30 per cent ahead. He cut that lead to 10 per cent by the general election in July 2024, despite Farage’s late decision”

This is great news for London and for our country. A real heavyweight who can steer our capital city to the next level. Best wishes my friend @JamesCleverly
London needs more than an administrator. It needs a champion, someone who understands its potential and is prepared to fight for its future. That’s why I’m running to be the Conservative Candidate for London Mayor. thetimes.com/comment/columni…

🗑️ Played a small part in resolving a flytipping disaster at a residential communal bin in my ward. It’s a small thing but to me it’s extremely satisfying to contribute to public service. This is what politics should be all about.

So great to be part of the team! @MKConservatives
As group leader I make it a point to meet with my new councillors every month to see how they are getting on and what support they need to be good local councillors for the communities they serve. It is important to me, that we make time to discuss the challenges, celebrate the wins and also just support each other. As always, great to catch up with them and plan what’s next as we continue to look at how we can serve, grow as a group and fly the @Conservatives flag high in MK. @MKConservatives @CCACllrs @cwowomen @CWOSouthEast @Johnny__Luk

This would be such a missed opportunity- I hope they u-turn on this.
Cabinet Office minister Lou Haigh says Tory and Reform mayors will not be able to use new freedoms to hand tax rebates to local people and businesses. Devolution only goes so far…
