When a #partner passes on, every single person may experience a plethora of emotions - anger, sadness, immense grief, frustration, hopelessness, apathy, and a dull ache of longing, being some among the many. (1/5)

But at the end of the day, gently remind yourself that no matter what, YOU have the innate strength within you to put one foot ahead of the other in due time and find your own kind of #happiness 👣 (4/5)

So, don't let society dictate the #rules because you deserve to make your own. Grieve, reminisce, and when you are ready, reignite your resolve to live life one moment at a time (just like your partner would have wanted!) (5/5)
An ideal period partner is someone who picks up the slack for you when you're at your lowest without being told. They make your life easier, one little action at a time. Tag your Plus 1 in the Reply below to show them you're grateful for all they do ❤️ #periodtalk #menstruation
<thread> Like everyone out there, children should be given the chance to determine what type of touches they are comfortable with 🙇🏻‍♀️ 🙇🏻 (1/3)

While somebody part touching is completely off the table (breasts, buttocks, chest, genitals, etc), children should be taught to communicate to others if they are uncomfortable with any other body part being touched, even if it is their shoulders or back 🙋🏻 🙋🏻‍♂️ (2/3)

Globally, approx. 38 million people have the HIV virus - yet many people don't know how to protect themselves or others from this condition. Let's mark #WorldAIDSDay as an important event to bring notice to the fact that the fight is still not over yet. Let's stop HIV, together
#Menstruation, period, cycle, vagina, heavy flow...these are normal words associated with a biological phenomenon in the English dictionary. But why do they get treated with disdain and looked down upon? #taboo #Stigma #stigmatisation

A good chunk of people continues to believe that openly discussing #menstruation falls under the bracket of taboo. Let’s normalize periods by openly talking about them. They are natural biological processes - let’s call them what they really are instead of using code words. 💯
She/her He/him They/them Ever seen any of these terms in Instagram bios of late and wondered why so many people have mentioned them there? 📝 It's because they want to be addressed in a very specific way, and this is their way of letting others know their preference! (1/3)

The days when we used to single out external appearance and associate that with a specified #gender are way behind us. Now, we use gendered pronouns, which are a reflection of the #identity that one associates with deep down. (2/3)

Next time you want to speak to someone, a great way to be sensitive and mindful is to ask them which is their preferred choice of pronouns ✔️ (3/3) #genderbias #pronounsmatter #genderidentity
#Periods can get pretty intense from time to time. But having a mother or sister whose cycles sync with yours can be the silver lining in the entire situation👩‍👩‍👧‍👧 (1/2) #menstruation #women

Not only do you have another person who knows what you are going through, but they also double as partners through the good, bad and ugly. If you need a binge-watching buddy or a cramp complainer, they're right there, doing the same alongside you! (2/2)
#Menstrualequity has many definitions, but most people agree that the term broadly refers to equal access to menstrual products, as well as giving menstruators the support and choices to decide how they want to care for their #menstrualhealth.

Menstrual equity is also about ending the #stigma around periods that has prevented not only decision-makers, but also #healthcare providers, educators, and individuals from ensuring that #menstrual health is a priority.
