I've been writing about the fact that the press narrative on bee and insect health has been wrong since 2013--more than two dozen articles. Here's my first one, in Forbes. The entire campaign to ban neonicotionid insecticides and other crop chemicals because they allegedly kill insects in massive numbers is absolutely not supported by science...and never has been: forbes.com/sites/jonentine/2…
The so-called "beepocalypse" has always been a myth. @JonEntine, @DrLizaMD and I will explain why tomorrow at 12 pm central. Until then, here's some background reading to get you up to speed. 🧵 xitter.cf/i/spaces/1jMKgmvElBbJL

And what exactly is in “raw milk”….

When it comes to food, “natural” or "chemical-free" doesn't mean safer (or usually anything). Raw milk is a prime example of the natural fallacy: it sounds wholesome but can harbor deadly pathogens. Join @JonEntine, @camjenglish, and @DrLizaMD to discuss. xitter.cf/i/spaces/1NxarogMbRdKj…

PFAS “forever chemicals” are fast becoming one of agriculture’s biggest flashpoints. While they mostly reach farms from outside sources like biosolids, compost, irrigation water, and industrial contamination, farmers often bear the costs and the blame.
When activists, litigators and headlines push fear over facts, farmers need to know where the science actually stands. Thousands of compounds are lumped together as “PFAS,” yet the strongest evidence of health effects is limited to just a few, mainly PFOA and PFOS.
Join the Council for Agricultural Science and Technology @CASTagScience tomorrow, with paper authors @JonEntine, Mark McDaniel, and Thomas Redick, to discuss the new paper, “PFAS in Agriculture: Science, Uncertainty, and Risk Communication."

To satisfy activists, museums are presenting Native American creation myths as history and reburying 12,000-year-old human skeletons. Even everyday commercial objects from the 20th century are now treated as cultural patrimony requiring reburial. All this, while critical research remains stalled.

This is on @SenBillCassidy as much as it is on @SecKennedy and the incompetent antivaxxers he's hired at HHS. Senator, YOU voted to advance RFK Jr.'s nomination out of YOUR committee, and YOU voted to confirm him. YOU are as much to blame as he is.

There are no Republican conservatives any more. The right has become hopelessly and irredeemably infected with Trumpism. Most of today’s so-called conservatives are mere enablers. They are lackeys to the most corrupt politician—by miles—in the history of the U.S. Almost every day there is a fresh report of Trump’s self-serving decisions. He plays by no rules but his own. For him everything is transactional—and then he screws people who try to play his game. Republicans today have devolved into the very opposite of patriots. And I write this as someone who was a member of a conservative think tank for 15 years. Democrats have gone astray ideologically for sure but at least they are not fundamentally poisoned as is today’s right. It will take a decade—if ever--to purge that stink from the party—if conservatives even have the will.

Isn't this just the same postmodernity we've been plagued w since Obama? Nothing is true, and relativity and subjectivism don't argue facts/evidence rationally; they just assert moral superiority (if they're on the left). The foundational assumption is that Democrats (the left) are invariably right; Republicans (and conservatives) are always wrong.
From a postmodern POV, there's nothing to argue about; there's just cretins who need to be confronted w their anachronistic views and attitude, and put in their proper, inferior place.
