Miracles do happen! A race photo where I’m not gurning (or looking faintly disturbed) and I’m actually looking at the camera. 😃🕺🏼
Marathon des Terroirs du Valais - 2:59:32. 13th overall. 1st in AG.
2 road marathons in 4 weeks is hard work, especially after setting a PB (2:56:41) 4 weeks ago. Another sub-three for the collection - seven in two and a half years now. 48 years old when I ran my first one. 😃
Lake Annecy Marathon - 2:56:41 for a 14 second PB. Still getting (a little) faster at the age of 51. 😃 3rd in my age group. Fabulous race in a stunning part of the world. Very happy with that!
Seen today - the best running t-shirt ever and so French! 🇫🇷 “To run well, eat mushrooms.” You can’t argue with that! 🍄
A glorious morning for a run. 37K with 4 x 5K at marathon pace (1K recovery). The highlight was during the third rep when it was tough going, The Sisters of Mercy’s cover of Jolene by Dolly Parton came on the playlist. I wasn’t expecting that and it was excellent! :-)

We are a world away from the 20th century climate, already in uncharted territories, and that's just the beginning! 😱
Losing glaciers through sole human emission should make us take action 🛑
But we are apathetic...

From the new Private Eye, out now.
You don’t get many better views than that on a road run.

The heaviest snowfall we’ve had in a while. And it’s still coming down! ⛄️
