#NYC subway and bus ridership back to about 60% and 63% of pre-pandemic levels as of May 19th 2022. Can see a big drop on the MA50 trend in May 2020 coinciding with the pandemic gathering steam in April 2020. Data source: lnkd.in/gsaCcGZY Chart: #Python @NYCTSubway #MTA

If you ask me, Ethical AI isn't so much about making the AI "ethical". It's about making the system that produces the AI ethical.

We've built a scalable way to search unstructured databases using natural language in lieu of traditional structured query language (like SQL). It makes it possible to quickly search large databases for answers that require reasoning over multiple facts. ai.facebook.com/blog/using-a…

Imagine a world where you never really die. People are looking into using blockchain tech to connect humans with machine intelligence as a way towards immortality. Can transhumanism become the religion of "blockchainers" with Vitalik, its leader? buff.ly/3fUbcMr

The main reason why tech companies pay insane salaries and VCs invest crazy $$$ in AI/ML is simple: it's all about scalability! Do it once, sell to billions! For large platforms, this means that even small improvements make a huge difference and justify pretty much any cost.
