Congratulations to our friend @FrankLaRose on an outstanding performance/win in a horrible cycle. Frank has put in the work across our state for over a decade and his connection with voters/Ohio communities shows!
Fascinating map of where @FrankLaRose outran the top of the ticket last night to win the Auditor of State race.

Now that 100 percent of election night results have been reported, I’m confident that we can declare victory with a margin that falls outside of the mandatory recount requirement and considers all outstanding overseas and provisional ballots. We received the second-highest raw vote total of any candidate on the ballot and the highest total among Republicans. I'm honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve as your next Ohio Auditor of State, but it’s certainly a victory that’s bittersweet. I know we're disappointed about the outcome of so many other races. We, as Republicans, have a lot of work to do. I can only say that I believe in the providence of God and that to whom much is given, much is required. From the outset of this campaign, I laid out a clear mission to make Ohio's government more transparent, efficient, accountable, and affordable! As we say in the military, this just became mission-critical. There's a reason the Auditor of State is an independently elected constitutional officer. It's the watchdog not only of your tax dollars but also of the politicians you hired to manage them. We're going to make public spending more transparent. We’re going to make government more efficient. When politicians misspend your money, I’ll make them infamous. And when they steal it, I'm going to LOCK THEM UP... regardless of party or politics! The campaign is over, but our work is just beginning. I want to thank each and every person who put their trust in me and made this victory happen. Now we go to work for all Ohioans to do the job they hired me to do.

Elections are determined by those who show up. Make sure you have a plan to vote, either early or on November 3rd. Don't forget to vote the entire ballot, including the judges. For early voting info: ohiosos.gov/elections/voting… #OH10

It was great to see so many foreigners enjoy themselves in the US and have positive reactions to Americans. But some of this was sad because it was clear that many had absurd preconceived notions due to mass media in their countries, especially in Europe. Like Mark Twain said, those who don’t read newspapers are uninformed; those who do are misinformed.

Following a preliminary review, @DHSgov found🚨190,832 🚨 noncitizens are registered to vote in California. For context, from August 2024 - June 2026 my office identified and removed 1,193 noncitizens from our voter rolls and we continue to check every month using both the Federal SAVE system and state data. I'm proud that Ohio takes this stuff seriously, and we work hard to keep fraud rare. States like California need to catch up!

True voter intimidation or suppression is illegal and immoral. We will NEVER tolerate it in Ohio. Thankfully, because we take both seriously and enforce the law, fraud and suppression are both incredibly rare in our state. So what is this really about? It is an irresponsible decision by partisan operatives (who in this case are being investigated by the FBI) to co-opt well-intentioned faith leaders into staging a hyperbolic political stunt. In case it is not obvious to you, here's the problem with that 👇 🧵 1/6

Notice the pattern between Biden and Platner, because it is the whole story. In both cases, the primary voters made a choice. In both cases, the party decided, after the fact, that the voters had chosen wrong. And in both cases, the same institution that lectures America about authoritarianism and “threats to democracy” moved heaven and earth to override the expressed will of its own electorate the moment that will became inconvenient. The people who cannot stop saying democracy is on the ballot keep discovering, at the decisive moment, that they trust themselves more than the demos. open.substack.com/pub/eweric…
