The future of design won’t be defined by who can make the nicest screens. It will be defined by who can create clarity, set direction, and connect design decisions to real outcomes. Design isn’t going away. It’s being repositioned.

It’s crazy that you need to pay a month subscription just to view Pantone on Adobe software now. Both Adobe and Pantone products are already extremely expensive. An extra “Pantone” subscription just adds to the cost. #Adobe #Pantone #GraphicDesign

I think that AI will have a huge affect on the creative industry - especially in the fields of design and illustration. We can already see this with tools like #dalle2 by @OpenAI, which can generate artwork using with prompts given by users.

This is also a negative, as it reduces the need for entry-level or low-skilled creative work, and will lead to job displacement for those who don’t have the skills to differentiate themselves and their work from AI.

Personally, I’m a bit scared, but excited. AI will widen the gap between those who are highly-skilled and can adapt/take advantage of AI, and those who lack the skills needed to utilize AI in a way that’s transformative—separating the skilled and unskilled. #ai #design #dalle
