I donāt take many calls in our newsroom. But when I do, theyāre usually spirited and usually Cyclone Jerry.
Will leave a void for sure.
Cyclone super fan Jerry Haines, better known as "Cyclone Jerry" passes away at the age of 87.
He was a positive light for all.

More than a couple formative moments throughout my college radio career tie back to interactions with Sean. My first radio job interview, Arch Madness trips, etc.
To whateverās next, youāre getting a great personality but even better human.
All the best to you.
Earlier today after our show myself as many others were laid off at IHeart Des Moines. Iām not angry or am going to blame anyoneā¦itās part of the business. You can have good ratings, good revenue etcā¦Doesnāt matterā¦your number on that excel sheet can be picked any day.
I sit here proud of my career in radio and proud of what we did at KXnO. Iāve been doing sports talk radio in Des Moines since 2014 and itās been a hell of a ride with so many people to thank. Des Moines you got to watch me grow up from being a dumb 20 something, getting married, having my first kid, and helping me navigate the passing of my father.
I got to live out a dream and I will be forever thankful. This is all
Iāve ever wanted to do. Thank you the listeners and advertisers. I love you all more than you will ever know.
As for whatās nextā¦No clueā¦ going to take a few days and hang with my wife and son. Love you all and appreciate your support throughout the years. šā¤ļø

No Iowa Speedway stop for IndyCar in 26.
Thought they may try to reduce to one race, but deciding to skip completely.
