Great day of canvassing in South County! Thank you to our volunteers and the candidates who joined us at the doors. Make your plan to vote by Nov. 3!
Take nothing for granted. If we want to elect @HelenaBFoulkes and support Democrats up and down the ballot, we have to do the work. Knock doors. Make calls. Talk to your neighbors. Every conversation counts. Let’s get to work, Rhode Island!

Early voting has begun in Rhode Island, @RI_BOE notes
This is one of the most beautiful reflections about 9/11, grief, and carrying on with the grief. A must read from the 20th anniversary of you haven’t read it yet.
Bobby McIlvaine was 26 when he died in the September 11 attacks. In 2021, @JenSeniorNY wrote about grief, conspiracy theories, and one family’s search for meaning in the decades since 9/11. Revisit the Pulitzer Prize–winning story: theatln.tc/M5hM8CcK theatlantic.com/magazine/arc…

My politics will always be that no one, much less a survivor of 9/11, should have $190,000 in medical debt while living in the world’s richest country.
Marcy Borders, otherwise known as the "Dust Lady," accumulated about $190,000 in medical debt battling stomach cancer before passing away on August 24, 2015, at the age of 42.
She couldn't afford vital prescription medications to manage her chemo and nausea, and she believed her cancer was triggered by the toxic smoke she inhaled.
25 years later, we know that her hunch was true.

The contrast in this race is clear. While Matos has spent nearly six years holding office and seeking her next political opportunity, I have built a record of taking on powerful interests and producing measurable results for Rhode Islanders.
Latest poll makes it clear: Rhode Islanders want change - and as undecided voters make up their minds, they increasingly see Xay as that change.
He has the record, vision and urgency to deliver real results. The 9/9 primary is an opportunity to choose new leadership for RI.
NEW: UNH has just released what may be RI's last public primary poll before Sep 9 - Gov campaign is blasting the data as "absolutely bogus"

This race is neck and neck, and we’re ready to spend the next two weeks meeting as many voters as possible, listening to your concerns, and telling you about our plans to make government work better for Rhode Islanders— because change can’t wait.

New polling conducted by @wpri12 and @EmersonCollege shows us what we know to be true: a majority of RIers are ready for change. We’ve been able to rise so quickly because we’re ready to bring urgency, common sense, and competence to the table and deliver results for RI.
Voters want change, and @XayForRI is best positioned to deliver it.

After 6yrs in office, @Sabina_Matos has yet to make her case for reelection to a majority of voters. There’s a clear message: Rhode Islanders want a leader who does more than show up–they want someone who delivers results.
Data from the latest 12 News/Emerson College poll shows the Democratic primary races for Attorney General and Lieutenant Governor coming down to the wire. @TedNesi and @TimWhiteRI break down the results: tinyurl.com/3t2cb6za
@XayForRI has built the statewide coalition, momentum and record to turn that demand for change into victory on Wednesday, September 9.

In new polling conducted by @PellCenter, Rhode Islanders are sending a clear signal: they’re ready for a new generation of leadership.
We’re now in a statistical dead heat with the 6-year incumbent, demonstrating the strong momentum our campaign has gained throughout the summer.
Rhode Island Congressman Gabe Amo has endorsed Xay Khamsyvoravong over incumbent Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos ahead of the Sept. 9 Democratic primary. Matos ran against Amo for his current seat in 2023. wpri.com/news/elections/amo-…
