Graham Alexander is back at Deepdale.
I've taken a look at how his Bradford City side played, what Preston North End fans can expect on the pitch, and where the current squad could fit into his system.

There was delusion from some Sheffield Wednesday fans in the summer with potential player signings. Now the delusion continues, with shouts from some saying they should get Kieran McKenna.
Can't wait for January for it to happen again.
Refs looking right at it too from about 10 yards away. And awards overrules the lino to award throw-in that they scored from. When the lino was right.
What a joke.
Looks even worse than it did when it happened... West Brom are the most corrupt club in the EFL.

Has indeed gone with Burgzorg instead. Both Devine and Potts so could be either or playing the CM role while the other is part of the 10s.
My guess is we'll see something like this today. Devine to drop in and play as an advanced CM, while Leroy plays deeper, as he's been pretty useless with his shooting. Help to get more players into the box.
May end up being Burgzorg instead of Moran, seen as Moran isn't favoured. But could go for Moran if still wants a midfield type in one of the 10s. Unless he chucks Potts in from the start.
I'd probably rather see Kenny and Lang swap round and see how that goes. Lang seems to struggle a bit more now in wider areas compared to pre PNE and injuries. May be better playing as more of a poacher nowadays #pnefc
Seen as it was a prediction on what the lineup will be, I should've really put Burgzorg in there instead of saying may do that seen as Moran isn't favoured.
Then it would've only been one wrong. But couldn't help include a bit of justice for Moran bias in there 😄

Hoping for a result today, to try and actually build on something. But I will also take us having more than one shot on target and not conceding four goals, as that will be an improvement.
I've been critical of McCann because of how poor he is with the ball. At times is a hindrance in-possession under the previous manager, where there's more reliance on receiving the ball from the CBs and playing through the lines.
However, under Grezza, that's not really going to be as important. His off-the-ball work will be a huge plus to have once he's back #pnefc

Only one club of the 48 that have played in the Championship over the last decade has made an operating profit per @valuball
Eight have made losses exceeding £200m in that period (2015/16 to 2024/25).
And we ended up with no CB at all...
That's gone well for us.
The one guy who's barely played this season getting asked these questions is quite amusing.
He's barely had an hour of league football so far this season 😂

Only three games into the reign, but at the moment, it's a fact that the performances are worse than they were under the previous manager.
Things are looking incredibly bleak.
Sounds like he may be thinking of changing the approach.
This is what I mentioned about the system in my written piece. Certainly saw that tonight. Players weren't getting at them quick enough at all, and it was so easy to play through.

Gone from putting in fairly decent performances for 60 minutes or so before tailing off and being shite. To not even getting that now.
Hell of a task ahead to keep us up.
Funny thing about yesterday and some people saying we looked better in the first half than previously, but outside of the first two games, we looked good in the first 60 minutes or so in all the other games.
The issue has been shitty mistakes costing us goals, and missing chances, as we were actually creating a decent number of chances for once. Then tailing off for the last 25-30 mins.
Was never a tactical set-up issue. Outside of starting Lindsay in a high line for the first four.

FWIW, I do think the way Alexander will be setting them up, and after more time working on it, he should make us a more difficult team to beat. So it will be different in that sense. And after the first 15 minutes or so, that did start to show.
But it will just be a case of how well they manage to do that, and if we can score enough whilst doing that, to if we can survive or not.
