Your first 1M, 10M or 100M is not the money that will bring your family out of poverty. It is also not meant for big-boy/girl lifestyle. I have said this before and I hope my co-young Nigerians can learn. I know 1M looks like a very small money but for some, that’s the highest money you’d ever encounter AT ONCE in your life and whatever you are able to do with it can either make or mar your future. Around June-August 2020, I got my first job on Upwork and made about $1500 from it after paying others who worked with me. If I remember vividly, that was not even up to 1M as at then. But it changed my life positively and for good!!! Guess what, my lifestyle didn’t change too much just because I got that kinda money. As a matter of fact, I put most of the money in some of those investments that trended during that Covid period and was lucky enough to make 20-25% monthly till December before I pulled out (which thank God I did, as by January it crashed). That money was part of the initial capital for the gas plant that started running by April 2021. You know the funny thing was that I didn’t get another job between August and early December 2020 on Upwork. Imagine going from that good start to a 4-month dryness? Big time “enugbe”. The next job I got, I did the interview and exam late December and started working with them by 10th of January, 2021. That went on for 2 straight years. $400 monthly for the first year and $500 monthly for the second year. In between this, I had a few consistent clients and some one-time gigs here and there. By December 2021, I got another gig that paid between $500 – 1k monthly depending on work done and lasted about 8 months. In 2022 as well, I got a one-time $1k job on Fiverr. I lost both Upwork and Fiverr accounts in November and December 2022, consecutively! In between all of these, I consistently ran my tutorial (Highflyers Tutors) and 2 gas stations (opened the first at April 2021 and the second at April 2022). I didn’t disregard my physical businesses just because I was making some good money, as you may call it, online! My lifestyle still did not really change so big as I knew I wasn’t there yet. If not that I changed my mind and decided to relocate, I honestly hoped I’d get to a point from physical businesses where I’d make at least 1M monthly since I knew freelancing was not always consistent! My rent was less than 200k per year. That was something I could make in 2 weeks or max of a month. I knew people who made $10k or more and blew it. As at same 2021, someone I knew faintly made about 60M, slept in hotels and went to clubs for close to 6 months until he blew that money till the last drop finished! They’re mostly yahoo boys, btw. So, as I said earlier, your first financial breakthrough isn’t what will pull all your family out of poverty. It is also not for living large and showing off that you’ve arrived! Rather, it’s a seed that, if used or invested well, can take you to greater heights and eventually help your loved ones as well. But if misused, you might end up poorer than you used to be! YOU ARE NOT A YAHOO BOY so you shouldn’t be trying to use your breakthrough money to impress anyone.

Tinubu did what? 🤷🏾‍♂️
Men don’t understand how spiritual women are. A woman is a portal to God, she’s your connection to divine favour. Treat your woman right, keep her genuinely happy for seven days straight, then go on your knees and ask God for anything. There is nothing you will ask for that won’t come through.

Modern women are actually ready to split bills but the real problem is that men ain’t ready to split child care, cooking and other household chores.

Democracy Is on Trial — And the Opposition’s Silence Is the Real Danger... While Nigerians stare at screenshots of AI-generated faces sitting on INEC’s preliminary voter register in Edo State, the political opposition has gone strangely quiet. In Etsako West LGA, Uzairue South East Ward, polling units including Iyoku–Utukwe Afashio Booth and Ikabigbo show photographs that look machine-generated, duplicated, or simply broken. Similar red flags have been flagged in parts of Esan Central. Fact-checkers have confirmed the images are real on the online preliminary list. INEC’s own ICT Director has admitted that some registration officers with system access introduced questionable records — some AI-generated, some just bad registrations. The commission says the list is still preliminary, cleanup is ongoing, and the final certified register is not due until 15 December 2026.That is the process working, on paper. In practice, the major opposition parties have offered little more than muted acknowledgements or silence. A few voices (including Prof. Pat Utomi and smaller platforms) have asked questions. The broader political machinery that claims to be defending democracy has not launched sustained pressure, formal demands for the unit-level data, independent audits, or public cross-checks of the affected polling units. This is not a technical glitch to be left to INEC’s internal process. The voter register is the foundation of every subsequent election. If artificial entries, ghost names, or unverified photographs can enter the database through officers who already have login access, then the claim that “we will clean it later” is not reassurance — it is a warning. Edo is being treated as a test case. What is tolerated here can be scaled. Nigeria’s democracy is still young. Every cycle since 1999 has been a fight to move from managed outcomes toward genuine choice. When the register itself can be populated with faces that do not exist, the vote becomes theatre. You cannot win an election against an algorithm that has already filled the rolls. The opposition’s job is not only to contest power in 2027. It is to make the process credible enough that a loss is still a democratic result. Silence while the preliminary register carries AI images and unexplained anomalies is not strategy. It is abdication. Citizens are already doing the verification work on social media. Parties with resources, lawyers, and platforms should be filing requests, publishing side-by-side comparisons of 2024 versus current unit figures, and forcing INEC to show exactly how the bad records entered and how they will be removed before certification. Demand the full polling-unit breakdowns. Match names to real people. Treat every suspicious photograph as a potential vote that will not cast itself on election day. The final register is not yet locked. The window is still open. If the opposition will not interrogate these cracks now, it will have no moral standing to complain when the result is declared in 2027. Democracy does not die only from ballot stuffing. It dies when the people who claim to protect it look away while the foundation is quietly altered. The numbers and the images are public. The silence is the choice. #ProtectOurVotes #2027MustBeFree #INECRegister #DemocracyOnTrial @Peter4Nigeria @KwankwasoRM @PeterObi @AishaYesufu @inecnigeria @OfficialDSSNG @IdrisZekeriJnr @Wailingvoice

Damn... this story hits heavy. She asked him to stop initiating, he actually listened for *sixteen months*, no pressure, no sneaking, nothing. And then one day he’s like “yeah I’m done living like roommates.” The quiet part is what gets me. He wasn’t yelling or cheating or making threats. He just slowly checked out while still showing up for the kid and the laundry. That’s the scary part is when the fighting stops because one person already left in their head. Sixteen months of “I’ll tell you when I’m ready” with no timeline is a long time to keep hoping the connection comes back. You can’t take one of the biggest parts of marriage off the table indefinitely and act surprised when the other person eventually walks. Painful story. Real one though.

Whenever Wike or any of them want to drag each other, they talk about how they steal/how much they stole etc Peter Obi is the only politician whose criticism starts & ends at “he’s pretending”.
"He [Rotimi Amaechi] came and said he was going to fumigate Rivers State. He paid 10 million U.S. dollars. If you allow him to be Vice President, will he fumigate Nigeria too?" FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has questioned how much was spent on projects during Rotimi Amaechi’s time as Rivers State governor.
