Also out: OL Torricelli Simpkins
Questionable: DL Bobby Brown
Brad Idzik's dad helped run a workout for Michael Penix's dad with Tampa Bay in 1996. Cool note from Greg.
Michael Penix's father, Michael Sr., played RB at Pasco High in Dade City, later at Tennessee Tech. Once got a workout with the Bucs in 1996 but never signed. tampabay.com/archive/1996/06…

Dave Canales said Taylor Moton's ankle surgery is to repair torn ligaments in his ankle using the TightRope implant system.
Canales: CB Akayleb Evans is day-to-day with a triceps issue.
"We do have options" if Evans can't play, Canales said. Declined to specify who would start.
Dave Canales: Panthers right tackle Taylor Moton will undergo season-ending ankle surgery. Also has a broken fibula, which won't need surgery.
"We're all hurt for T-Mo but we know what he represents."
Panthers’ first injury report had five players who did not practice, including 4 starters - Akayleb Evans, Jaelan Phillips, Damien Lewis and Bobby Brown.
Panthers placed OT Taylor Moton (fractured fibula) on IR; promoted OLB Nick Hampton from the practice squad to the 53.
Also added LB Ja'Markis Weston the p. squad.
