On Panthers' second play, Bucs showed a rare 5-1-5 "penny" look on defense with Anzalone as the only true linebacker. Five-man front and nickel secondary. Limited Hubbard to a 3-yard gain. One of two defensive snaps rookie LB Josiah Trotter wasn't in on.

Bucs guard Dan Feeney got in as a 310-pound fullback on the opening drive -- heavy package for third-and-1 and Irving got 2 yards to convert. Bucs went 3-for-3 on third downs on opening drive to set the tone.

Bucs' 49 rushing attempts in Sunday's win vs. Carolina is third-most in any game in franchise history. The record is a doozy -- 62 carries in the famously rainy 3-0 win over Chiefs in 1979. Only 13 passes in that game, two more than Bucs had Sunday. pro-football-reference.com/b…

Yaya Diaby had three sacks for the Bucs in Sunday's win while playing only 22 defensive snaps. That's just the second game by any NFL player in the last three years with 3+ sacks in 25 snaps or less. Bears DB Kyler Gordon had 3 last week in 17 snaps.

Snap counts are out for Bucs vs. Panthers. David Walker played second-most snaps among OLBs. Diaby got three sacks in 22 snaps. Rare chance to empty the bench in NFL.

So this guy asks me a question, I answer it, and he blocks me, then claims I blocked him. Never did. Haven’t. Strange behavior, even for this app.

And just for one thick-headed person: if you try to reply to a tweet that’s replying to a second person who already had you blocked, you can’t because of that person, not anyone else. Just know when to stop while you’re way behind.

Bucs' 64 passing yards today are the third-fewest by any NFL team in a 30+ point win in the last 40 years. Lions had 61 in a 52-14 win over Titans in 2024, and Jets had 63 in a 37-0 win over the Bengals in 2009.

After taking their first loss of the season to the Falcons, we ask if the 49ers' biggest obstacle is just their own health with a veteran roster. Kittle: "It's just how much depth do you have? How many vets do you have that can stay healthy?" @NFLonfox foxsports.com/stories/nfl/49…

Why would the NFL have had all the international games in one weekend? Does that make any sense? Time zones would make it tough to have any normal TV windows. Better to spread out over an entire season as they do.

Today’s plus-30 score means that even at 2-5, this year’s Bucs have a better point differential (+11) after seven games than either the 2022 or 2023 Bucs teams that won division titles. Both were 3-4.
