Between stops this weekend, I got to spend some time in the combine as our family works to get the corn crop out. Thanks to my good friend, Jon Anderson, for joining me for a ride-along!

Peggy Laurenz was a quiet, steady presence in the state legislature. But she also possessed a keen sense of humor. During tough debates and stressful situations, she was always one who had a calming and controlled effect on the atmosphere within the chamber. Peggy will be dearly missed by those of us who called her friend.

As an aside, the only sitting governor to argue on behalf of his state before the U.S. Supreme Court was SD Gov. Bill Janklow, who successfully argued Reeves v. Stake in 1980.
Trump has arrived at the Supreme Court to sit in on birthright citizenship arguments, the first such appearance by a president.

At the Nebraska Dairy Convention in West Point, I signed into law LB 663, which creates a uniform, transparent and expedited process for the application, review and approval of conditional use and special exemption permit applications.
It is a huge win for our dairy industry and all livestock development in Nebraska. We are becoming a national leader in dairy growth. If we want to capture more of that economic impact here at home – creating careers, supporting farm families, and strengthening our rural communities — we must make it easier for producers to expand and invest.
The Good Life is Open for Business, and our great dairy industry is on the rise.

The Star Tribune is attacking a republican staffer for legally and ethically approved travel expenses, but is silent on billions of fraud on Walz's watch. This type of partisan reporting is why people have lost faith in the STrib.
If you ever wonder if the @StarTribune could possibly get any worse. Don’t worry, just wait another day, I assure you they will.
Happy Thanksgiving week to all my fellow Minnesotans, I am thankful for you all!

Another victory for common sense! The Trump EPA just released a new proposed definition of “Waters of the United States” that, if finalized, would deliver the clarity farmers, ranchers, and landowners have been begging for. This definition follows the Supreme Court ruling in Sackett, advances cooperative federalism, and protects America’s waterways.

Proud to welcome EPA Administrator @epaleezeldin to #MN01 for a tour and roundtable at @CF_Farms in Brown County. In the Trump Administration, farm country has a seat at the table and federal leaders listen directly to the needs of our producers. Our discussion focused on the challenges facing livestock producers and the importance of policies that allow agriculture to thrive.
