Listening to opposition managers describe Birmingham City as 'direct and physical' this season has been slightly odd. Imagine that two years or even 12 months ago.
Chris Davies deserves credit for learning and adapting.

Epitomises what it means to be Blues. Hate the stick he gets sometimes, because he's one of the very few in years who truly understands what it means to wear the shirt.
Finishes every single game barely being able to run, but most don't see that.

Seeing Stanno talking about Tom Wagner after the game genuinely choked me up.
His emotion was raw. It was real.
Knowing Stanno’s story and everything he’s been through, you could see just how much Tom’s support and their relationship means to him. There’s clearly a genuine bond there that goes way beyond football. Stanno couldn’t hide what he was feeling today, and I think a lot of us watching felt it with him.
And then there’s Tom Wagner himself.
The man has been through so much after suffering his stroke, and as soon as he was able, he’s flown over to be back at St Andrew’s watching his Blues.
Seeing him back there today after everything he’s been through was special. You could see how much it meant to him just to be back.
Fans moan about transfers, Directors of Football, results and performances. We question decisions and debate everything because we care. That’s being a football fan.
But today was a reminder that sometimes there are things that matter a lot more than any of that.
It’s the people.💙💪🏾
Seeing Stanno’s emotion and seeing Tom back at St Andrew’s genuinely meant something today.
Whatever happens on the pitch, this is our club and these are our people.
That’s what being Blues is all about.

The James Beadle haters are awfully quiet lately.
Absolutely colossal this season so far.
