"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." - Archimedes When I was in 4th grade and decided to make animated movies, I thought Hollywood was my lever, but it wasn't long enough and its fulcrum had blue hair. Grok Imagine is my lever long enough to allow me to make an animated feature.

I'm a stop motion animator. I gave some on his crew their first stop motion job. I love the medium, but I don't like when guys are funded by Nike billionaires so they don't have to worry about things like a bottom line. There are kids and young story tellers that will never have the luxury to make animation at feature length without Ai. And this guy says F that tool?! He's a tool. Everyone is a natural story teller, and I love the idea of a tool that is going to help many more get their stuff out there. He might as well be cussing out woodcuts and watercolors.

dude is free to not use the tools he does not think support his art .... just as some painters choose oil and others will only use paints that they see as environmentally safe .... this is fine, just don't be surprised when the world keeps moving past you

Voted. It’s always disconcerting that the poll workers all look like they spent the weekend at a No Kings protest. 😬

It became something only elites can touch. Massive permission structure to prevent entry. That time is finally coming to a close. Kids will be able to make feature length stories from their imaginations and it's already shifting power from protectionists and elites, to grass roots story tellers.

The barrier between most people and Hollywood filmmakers is just a shitload of money.

I think this is my favorite tweet ever. I've had woke kids try to get pals to distance themselves from me for opposing same sex marriage, being pro life, following Jesus, voting for Trump and now they are trying to get me canceled for using AI. If they didn't have to make the boiler-plate apology yet ("I like Doug's work but I don't agree with everything he believes"), it would be even funnier if they had to give the boiler-plate apology over Ai.

@DanPovenmire I thought you might wanna know that someone you're following is using ai

Making some amazing progress on the overall story. Building out the world. This is so fun. Can’t wait to share where this is all going.

Think about what you spend your work day doing. Now think about what you wish you had an assistant to do for you. Now think about what you could do if you had that assistant. That’s what AI is for.

Yup.
Travis Knight didn't "make" Wildwood either. He just had a dad who made billions on Nike shoes. It wasn't talent, it was more like royalty where he was born in a blood line. I don't have royal blood. I came from dirt, so for normies we have to make our stories profitable, which Laika never has to do. Knight can rip on Ai all he wants, but he still crafted less art on Wildwood than I did using Ai on Cardboard. I didn't take my parent's money, not do any animation then hire a crew to do all of the work. I am hand drawing panels, drawing poses for the Ai to use and that's after I wrote every word of the graphic novel, penciled it, lettered it, inked it, then interpreted it into story boards. i've done thousands of hours more animation and art work in my Ai movie than Knight did on Wildwood. He has the luxury to say "F Ai" but he'll never say, "F my dad's shoe money" because that's the only reason he is involved in the process. If he didn't have his bloodline he wouldn't be working on Wildwood at all based on merit. I've always only had my work ethic, skill and grind to get anything made. Nike slop.

One of the most innovative contemporary working filmmakers just won an amazing award and fired the warning shot. His upcoming feature will be AI and it will shred the remaining slack-jawed faces of the doubters. The gates have been stormed. Hollywood is ours, now. LFG Congrats to @moonpay and @AskVenice for supporting innovative creators.
In this moment, I am euphoric. I'm incredibly grateful to Venice, Moonpay & the legenday judges. My upcoming feature film, Rainbow Sun, will be made in @AskVenice 🌈☀️ xitter.cf/moonpay/status/2112939…

Ai is a tool. Saying it isn't proves you are a tool.
‘Wildwood’ director Travis Knight on AI: “A pencil is a tool. A paintbrush is a tool. A 3D printer is a tool. A digital capture is a tool. AI is not a tool. AI can go fuck itself.”

If someone said, “I love romance!” And your response was, “You love PORN?! Why do you love SINNING?” We would hopefully recognize that as an unreasonable response. But honestly that’s what a bunch of y’all are doing with “horror” right now and you look silly. Is it too much to ask that we be charitable and reasonable? 😅😅😅😅There are actual enemies out there….

Disney Animation’s upcoming original film, Clay, will feature a “completely new” art style, says Jared Bush. “Clay will be a completely new approach and aesthetic - meant to look tactile, like claymation. Like nothing we’ve made before. You all wanted new art styles…. They are coming.” The film stars Kieran Culkin and hits theaters in November 2028.

I love it.
We were spending $2,000 per DAY on generations for WEEKS on this film until we figured out this one trick. I can't believe we didn't do this sooner! Let me show you how we saved a ton of money on our latest episode of Nexus. Prompts & Process below: 👇🧵

This is really good analysis. Creative devs are going to be the big winners in the AI revolution. This checks out. Most devs fall into one of two buckets. Those who learned to code for fun and those who learned to code to make something they envisioned. Most devs I’ve worked with fall into the first bucket.
Opus 5.5 is proof that the world does actually need smarter models.

White evangelicals are (correctly) responding to the reality that “empathy” has been weaponized to get people to override logic, justice, and morality more than almost any other emotional impulse (and thus, yes, the way it is often used *is* dangerous)
